Vi börjar denna otroliga resa med en tidig upphämtning (cirka 07:00) i Bologna med vår privata minivan eller minibuss för att bege oss till landsbygden mellan Modena och Bologna. Varför så tidigt? Parmigiano Reggiano väntar inte! Den görs bara tidigt på morgonen och vi vill att du ska komma igång ASAP! Vi kommer att se ostmakarna ta hand om alla produktionssteg mitt framför dina ögon. Du kan röra vid den krämiga ostmassan, smaka på den kokta osten och bli helt chockad av lagret, där tusentals hjul runt omkring dig väntar minst 12 månader på att bli "döpt" som Parmigiano Reggiano. Dags att smaka, vad hade du förväntat dig? Ung eller åldrad, krämig eller krispig, delikat eller intensiv: du kan bestämma vilken av de två olika åldrarna som är din favorit... eller bara älska dem båda!
Tredje och sista excellens att möta: kött (ordlek)! Prosciutto Factory Montevecchios produkter kommer att erövra din smak med sin doftande doft, smöriga konsistens och delikata smak. Vi kommer att lära oss om de strikta reglerna, den långa härdningsprocessen och den enorma omsorg som krävs för att omvandla endast 2 ingredienser till en typisk produkt med unika egenskaper. Vi kommer att smaka på dess nyttighet och genuinhet med andra lokala charkuterier och ett glas Lambrusco, innan en ordentlig lunch serveras!
En annan pärla i Emilia Romagna väntar på att bli upptäckt: Traditionell balsamvinäger från Modena. Efter vår "mästarfrukost" med lokal salam, mortadella, hembakat bröd, tårta, Lambrusco-vin och kaffe, leder vi dig in i en magisk värld av dofter, smaker, tålamod och familjetraditioner som du aldrig har upplevt förut! Wow, what a fun day! For the price, I definitely think we were generously fed and given very detailed and interesting tours of each factory. The day started with a tour of a Parmigiana factory where we saw all the steps in the process first-hand and could sample some fresh ricotta too. Then we went to a Balsamic Vinegar factory and were served a “breakfast of champions” with some of the authentic ingredients from our factory tours. It was really enjoyable to chat to everyone and hear from the tour guides. Lastly we went to a prosciutto factory and had a detailed tour, followed by the BEST lunch we’ve had in Italy. It was so much fun, the vibes were so energetic and joyful. The quality of the lunch was perfect, and the wine kept flowing. My husband and I are a bit introverted but honestly we’d highly recommend it still. We felt taken care of and comfortable the whole day, definitely don’t skip this one.
This tour was amazing! We learned so much about the production of each of the three foods and had a great time at the lunch afterward. The tour guide’s familiarity which the workers at each location means the tour takes you into the depths of each factory. We had a blast with Elena and Roberta! They really make sure everyone has a good time!
This was easily the best tour we did on our 2 week trip in Italy. Alessandro, Roberta, and the rest of the Italian Days team are incredible. We learned so much about the rich food culture in Modena/Emilia-Romagna. We got to taste everything we saw on our tour and had an absolute feast for both breakfast and lunch. A completely unforgettable day. Don’t hesitate to book this tour!
Our tour guide Alessandro was full of energy and passion when he was explaining the cheese making process of the parmigiana regianno. Then we had a wonderful experience at a traditional Acetaia where we met the 6th generation of balsamic producers where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast which included Balsamic Vinegar tasting , our fill of parmigiano and of course Mortadella and local prosciutto which was washed down also with local sparkling Lambrusco. After breakfast we headed off to the prosciutto factory and here Alessandro gave us a wonderful and insightful tour of the different processes involved in manufacturing of prosciutto. Then for the great finale we had a magnificent lunch which included all the beautiful food from the Modena region including some dancing and karaoke. I would highly recommend this tour to my family and friends
An absolutely delightful experience! I went with my partner and another couple, and we all absolutely loved this tour. The staff is incredibly accommodating, especially with dietary restrictions. They made all vegetarian dishes for our friend, and she did not feel she missed out on any of the experience. We also had a member of our group with a gluten allergy that they accommodated beautifully as well. They offer other “fun” beverages besides wine for those who do not drink alcohol. This is an experience we will remember fondly from this trip. Be prepared to be stuffed with pasta and have a fabulous time!

This was the best tour I have ever been on. Elena was the most amazing guide. So knowledgeable, passionate and personable. Truly the best experience ever.
Excellent in every way! Visited 3 places over the day. Our guide, Julia, was the best. She was very knowledgeable of each stop and made the entire day so fun. The group was a good size, not too big which I think helped too. The pickup and drop off location was in the main piazza so easy for everyone to get to. It seems pricey, but is worth every penny. You won’t regret it.
Great tour and guide, very well organized! Meals were phenomenal. Not touristy!
