Utforska Guayaquil, staden känd som "Stilla havets pärla", och som är relaterad till Ecuadors historia sedan början. På denna turné kommer du att ha möjlighet att lära känna Guayaquils kultur och tradition genom att besöka några av dess vackrare platser. Kom nära en infödd leguan i Seminario Park, gå längs Guayasfloden vid Malecon 2000, fördjupa dig i de färgglada husen i området Las Peñas och beundra den fantastiska utsikten från staden och floden från ovan.

Vårt första stopp blir Seminario Park, för att beundra dess vackra trädgårdar och dess lagun. Med katedralen i Guayaquil som bakgrund kommer vi också att upptäcka varför denna park är känd som "Iguanas Park", när vi på nära håll ser de exotiska leguanerna i Guayaquil, som är längre än en meter långa. Sedan korsar vi populära Malecon 2000 längs Guayasfloden, där vi kommer att se en mängd olika museer, trädgårdar, bryggor och utsiktspunkter. Vårt nästa stopp blir la Rotonda, för att se monumentet över Sydamerikas befriare och höra om den berömda "Intervju av Guayaquil" mellan venezuelanen Simón Bolívar och argentinaren José de San Martín. Därefter åker vi till den äldsta delen av staden för att utforska den koloniala stadsdelen Las Peñas. Deras färgglada hus byggda i trä representerar sanna konstverk. Slutligen kommer vi att gå upp till utsiktspunkten Las Peñas (som var den ursprungliga staden Guayaquil på 1500-talet), och uppskattar en hisnande panoramautsikt över staden och den berömda Guayasfloden.

We wanted to learn about Guayaquil and do some sightseeing before our trip to the Galapagos and did the city tour. It was informative, well-paced, and brought a good balance of history, culture, food, and sights. Allison was a great guide. Even two teen boys enjoyed it.

We did the day tour of Guayaquil in order to get to know the city before we took off to the Galapagos the next day. There were four of us… My wife and I and two teenage boys. The tour was about 3 1/2 hours long and it included history, culture, a little sightseeing, and some food tasting. Allison was an excellent tour guide as a city native. Knowledgeable, eligible, great communicator before, and during the tour, and showed us a lot of the city. I recommend this tour highly.

Today was a wonderful leisurely, walk around Guayaquil. Our tour guide Antonio was extremely knowledgeable about his country and was sure to provide us with the most in-depth explanation of the culture and answered all of our questions. We walked 440 steps in the old city and enjoyed the most beautiful sunset atop the lighthouse where we got a chance to cool off with a wonderful breeze. It was a wonderful adventure for couples with a beautiful and romantic sunset at the end.

We enjoyed riding on the gondolas and visiting the artist neighborhood outside downtown Guayaquil. But a large portion of the tour consisted of being driven, seemingly aimlessly, through parts of the city with no real explanation why. From a distance we saw sights we would have liked to visit like the Monumento al Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, but were past by. Overall, this tour was mediocre at best.
