Ben Vrackie Hill Walking Day Trip från Edinburgh

I had an amazing trip up Ben Vrackie with my guide, Gordon. He was very personable, friendly, and extremely helpful. He was extremely knowledgeable and qualified and made me feel completely safe and confident throughout the hike. There were times I felt like I wasn't going to make it up, but he made sure I did by coaching me through the hike and when we got to the top, it was all worth it. I cannot say enough about how great and accommodating Gordon was during the whole trip. I had a great experience and its something I'll remember for the rest of my life. I highly recommend the trip.

What a great trek up the Ben Vrackie trail with Gordon. Beautiful scenery and appropriate information about the area, the history, the plant life, etc. highly recommend.

Highlight of our vacation! Matt was the perfect guide, going at our pace including a stop for lunch. A great conversationalist explaining the nature around us and background of Scotland. We enjoyed every minute walking (I should say climbing!) to the very top.

Top notch experience! We had Ross as a private guide to climb Ben Vrackie. Communications were great and fast. No issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend! Very professional team.

Gordon...what a guy. Our excursion truly wouldn't be the same without him! He was full of interesting facts about our surroundings, answered all questions, and was a great whistler too. Not only did he make us feel completely safe during the hike, but he also has a strong adoration and respect for nature that makes you appreciate the experience so much more. Wonderful tour, our guide Gordon was great. He was able to answer lots of questions, kept us appraised of the weather and even got us out of a sticky situation that could have ruined the whole day! Absolutely would go again. Ben Vrackies is a great hike for experienced hikers, that last bit is pretty much a mile of stair case.

To anyone looking to tour Scotland (in a non-touristy, somewhat physically active way): A. There are walking tours and there are OUTDOOR tours. If you want to rent a van and go from point to point to point buying souvenirs/coffee/whisky, this may not be for you (but read on, please). B. Scotland is a beautiful country will all kinds of nooks, crannies and complicated roads - it’s best to have a seasoned navigator. C. Most tour groups in Scotland operate under managed standards. But not ALL of them are equipped to offer, support, maintain and encourage ‘nature’ experiences. D. Those looking to get-out into the countryside and experience all that Scotland has to offer should start at Intrepedus. E. Intrepidous can handle the spectrum - half-day walks in the countryside to the wild/wooly fun stuff in caverns/coast/big-climbs. F. THIS IS WHY ‘PEOPLE LIKE US’ TRAVEL - to see what makes each place unique, beautiful and good. Intrepidus is in-it for the experience of sharing the great natural features of Scotland with the world. :) G. Pack your own food, water. Expect a guide/guides who care deeply about their work, clean and trendy transport and an experience that will utterly be worth the fee. Bottom line - party of five of us climbed Ben Vrackie, an experience that was navigated and narrated by Entrepidus; outstanding time learning much of Scotland, the nature and culture of the land. Happy to answer questions but heartily recommend and will 100% use them again.

Gordon was our guide and he was completely trustworthy. He shared pros/cons of different mountain options based on his extensive experience. We ended up having a lovely day climbing Ben-I-vrackie. Only one other couple was in our tour so it really felt private and tailored to us. Lots of flora and fauna info on the way. Stunning views with time to eat our lunch at the top. Just the right amount of strenuousness. Just a great day of hiking.

A great day hiking up Ben Lomond. Ross was very supportive, knowledgeable and professional. Good fun and fab views of beautiful Loch Lomond. Would definitely go on another trip with Intrepidus Outdoors.

I went on a hike to Ben Lomond with Ross after stumbling on his highly rated guided adventures company and what a day it was! The hike was fairly challenging for a novice such as myself but I credit Ross for his encouragement and tips that kept me going all the way to the top. Once you reach the summit, it’s a million times better than any runner’s high and the views are absolutely stunning. I’m officially hooked on these Munro climbs and planning (after a decent gym session) to hike Ben Nevis with the Intrepid Crew!
