Nemea Wine Tours & Tastings from Nafplio
Forty minutes north of Nafplio, Nemea is the largest quality wine region in Greece and the home of Agiorgitiko — the deep red grape that once, the story goes, gave the 'blood of Hercules' its name. Tours visit two or three estates with an oenologist, taste across the range, and usually finish with lunch among the vines.

Nemea Wine i Nafplio — Vanliga frågor
What wine is Nemea known for?
Agiorgitiko, a soft, dark red grown on the Nemea plateau at 250–900 metres. The higher vineyards make structured wines for ageing, the lower ones fruitier bottles for drinking young; several estates also make rosé and sparkling from the same grape.
How much is a Nemea wine tour from Nafplio?
Group tastings with transport cost €80–€100, tours led by an oenologist about €175, and private van tours with tastings around €130 per person. Most include two or three estates and three to five wines at each.
Can you visit Nemea without a car?
Not easily — public transport to the estates is poor. A guided tour with transport from Nafplio is the practical option, and means you can taste properly rather than nursing one glass.
