We did this tour with Safia. Not only was she full of information about the local foods, she was full of local and historic information about Nafplio. Sofia has a warm and funny nature. The wine shop, delicatessen and bakery we visted were great and the owners very informative. Great way to spend half a day in the company of Sofia.

Sofia guide us thru a bee keeper’s day, sampling many different types of honey, and learning about medicinal value of honey along the way. Then onto a local cheese maker to sample cheeses from the region. Still More: onto donuts drizzle with honey and walnuts and Nutella and chocolate sprinkles. Lastly we samples an alternative Sovlaki made of pork, lamb and beef. Sofia was a wonderful source of knowledge, told many great stories and was very entertaining.
