We called this tour operator on our way to Parma on a Sunday afternoon, and she was amazing. She quickly arranged a private tour for us with a wonderful guide, Filippo. He took us to a private home, where we learned all about traditional balsamic vinegar directly from the owner. He also arranged for a cheese factory to open especially for us so we could see the cheesemaking process firsthand. Both locations offered delicious tastings, and they even sent us home with cheese to enjoy later. Laura was so kind to send me one of the recipes we sampled during the tour. We never would have been able to experience such an incredible day without Laura’s help. Thank you, Laura!
Hi Donna! It was a pleasure! Thank you very much! All the best, Laura
I loved the whole tour and Filippo was really great. I enjoyed the pamaggiano reggiano factory, balsamic vinegar house, and Parma ham factory. The lunch at the end was the icing on the cake. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience these things
Hi Andrew! Thank you so much! Best! Laura
We had an incredible day exploring Parma and Modena, and our guide Filippo made it truly exceptional. This was one of the highlights of our entire Italy trip. We visited a traditional balsamic producer in Modena and learned directly from the owner about the centuries-old process. Tasting 18, 30, and 40 year balsamic vinegars while standing among the aging barrels was unforgettable. It felt intimate and authentic. We also toured a Parmigiano Reggiano producer and saw thousands of wheels aging on wooden shelves. Tasting 13, 24, 60, and 80 month cheeses side by side was eye-opening. The butter and ricotta were incredible as well. We ended in Parma with prosciutto and culatello that quite literally melted in our mouths. Paired with Lambrusco and fresh tortellini, it was the perfect finale. Filippo was knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the region. He struck the perfect balance between education and enjoyment, answering every question thoughtfully and making the day feel relaxed and personal. If you care about food, history, and craftsmanship, this tour is absolutely worth it!
Thank you very much! Best, Laura
Excellent tour and assistance from Filippo. It was beyond my expectations. The 3 producers we visited were super receptive and with wonderful products. Gratzie Mille Laura
Ciao Isabel! Obrigada! Laura
We booked a tour with Laura and had an amazing time. Laura and Ricardo picked us up in Parma and took us to see how the cheese was made then on to the private Balsamic production which was our favorite of the day. The last stop was the factory where the cured the prosciutto. We finished the day with a beautiful lunch. I would highly recommend this tour.
Hi! Thank you so much! Best, Laura
We booked a private tour, and even when the trains went on strike, Laura—who runs the tour—went above and beyond to make sure we caught one of the few commuter trains still running. At the station, we were greeted by Filippo, our guide for the next four and a half hours, who whisked us away in his comfortable car. The tour was incredible. We learned fascinating details about the production of authentic balsamic vinegar, true Parmigiano Reggiano, and regional prosciutto. I came away with a deep appreciation for the care and tradition that go into these Italian treasures. The pride Italians take in preserving the integrity of these processes for generations is truly inspiring. Filippo himself was easygoing, knowledgeable, and personable—he was the icing on the cake and made the entire experience unforgettable.
Hi Catherine! Thank you very much! All the best! Laura
Filippo was an excellent tour guide, we had a great time exploring the region without being part of a huge tour group. Would recommend to friends in the future.
Hi Jacob! Thank you! Best, Laura
It was private and relaxed! Our guide Filippo was very knowledgable about everything! I especially enjoyed the lunch at the end!
Hi Laura, thank you very much! Best, Laura
Filippo was amazing! He explained everything and answered all of our questions wonderfully. He was very accommodating to my family and made sure we all enjoyed our time. My family and I cannot recommend this tour more!
Hi! Thank you very much! Best, Laura
I guess I just expected more Laura explained the process of making the parm, Parma ham and balsamic but we didn’t get to witness it
Hi Garry, you didn't see the production because you arrived at 11am. If you wish to see the production, you need to come earlier. Thank you, Laura
