Snorkelervaring in de baai van Santa Maria per boot

Unsafe. We were just dropped in the ocean. Reef was entirely too deep to see anything. Leader in the water with the life preserver never once looked back to check on our group. Several were struggling in the back and getting further and further back. Water was too deep, too wavy, too strong of a current to even go out. Should have e been cancelled and money refunded. Nothing was communicated on how to alert the boat captain you wanted to get back in the boat - and he was riding far away from the group. Two teens it was their very first time - two older couples - all struggled - don’t even know why we stopped at the first stop - too deep to see anything as a snorkeler. Most of us were saying “no good” once back in the boat, so next - the captain drove too fast for a rubber bouncy boat into the harbor with anchored fishing boats and acted so excited to see a turtle and had everyone jumping out. Again nothing to see - but the turtle. Captain drove around those who got out way too close with his prop. And way too close to the fisherman’s boats anchor lines. It was unsafe unprofessional and I’m thankful we all made it back alive. Also! A rung is missing on the ladder to climb into the rubber boat and sharp metal is exposed. I believe this excursion is false advertising and a money grab and should be stopped immediately.

Booked through Tripadvisor last minute for our last day. The company replied quickly to the queries I had about equipment, they said they would provide snorkels, flippers and lifejackets. Personal items can be kept in their centre but not taken on the boat as not much space. That morning, I received a WhatsApp asking if it was possible to change the excursion date as the wind was too high for the day so the visibility would be poor. Unfortunately as it was our last day we were unable to rearrange but the company refunded the full amount straight away which was very good. I’m glad they took the safety seriously and didn’t just go ahead with the tour as we would have been disappointed if we couldn’t have seen anything.

It's great, although you don't see that many fish either, we saw some schools of fish and a turtle, but you get to see the entire seabed guided by the instructor.

Hello. The welcome was excellent with the staff. All week we were with the monitor Eva who was listening to our requests. I want to thank Eva , Marcos , Bertha and the others for their professionalism. I strongly recommend this center to everyone. I'll be back with my eyes closed. Koumena ( ucpa client)

Organisation was good, we were picked up promptly from the hotel and at the dive centre were kitted out quickly and had a good safety talk. The boat trip to the start of the snorkel was very quick and we were soon in the water. The snorkel itself was ok- as often is the case there was a lot of faffing at the start with people trying to get their masks sorted etc. The current meant that you could really just drift along and we did see some cool stuff, however we were in the water for less than half an hour in total, including the faffing. There was a really nice part by the shipwreck with loads of cool fish but we hardly got any time there and were being ushered back to get on the boat which was a shame as we would have like to spend more time there.

Professionel trip. Well organised. A bit crowded on board. Swimming with a big group. Saw lots og colourful fish and three turtles

Once I got the hang of it this was fun, and I saw turtles and fish which was amazing. I did though feel that the guide, or the people on land could have kindly given some tips before hand as, although a confident swimmer, I hadn't snorkeled before. It was a bit like 'mask on in you get' straight into the sea, and my mask let in water, plus there's a nack to the breathing which needs to be mastered. A bit of pre instruction would have helped I feel sure

Perfect diving baptism! Very well framed, very serious and a very beautiful diving spot: sharks, turtles and a multitude of fish of all colors 😃

Great experience I had with this service, everything was wonderful. I have just finished my PADI Open Water certification in three days. I was paired with a buddy in the same situation, just starting in the world of scuba diving. Everything was smooth, not rushed in any way, and very easy and detailed. Lilou was a great instructor, and all staff very pleasant, including Beta, the other instructor that was monitoring another diver throughout the days. It was great not only achieving a long time goal of becoming certified, but also getting to know other people, always in a great environment, both naturally and socially. Truly recommend!
