Wie zijn wij bij SMATUR? Ten eerste houden we van wat we doen, daarom hebben we de beste baan ter wereld en is de glimlach altijd aanwezig; WIJ HOUDEN VAN ONS LAND, en we pronken er trots mee, want hoe klein het ook mag zijn, het is gigantisch in wat het ons kan geven; en ten slotte is het onze MISSIE om te waarderen wat we hebben, om de duurzaamheid van deze kleine eilanden als merk te gebruiken, en samen met de energie van het eiland, degenen te verrassen die ons durven te bezoeken.

Fort uit het begin van de eeuw. XVI, gebruikt om Algerijnse kapers en Filippijnse troepen in het midden van de eeuw te beschermen en te bestrijden. XVI en XVII. Het biedt ons een zicht op een deel van de sintelkegel van wat vermoedelijk de tweede vulkaan was die ongeveer 8,7 miljoen jaar geleden het eiland Santa Maria creëerde.
Hier kunt u genieten van een van de mooiste en meest paradijselijke uitzichten die het eiland te bieden heeft. Eén van de mooiste baaien ter wereld
Rode Woestijn of Barreiro da Faneca, een uitgestrekt gebied met ongeveer 8 hectare vulkanische as dat ongeveer 3,5 miljoen jaar geleden een oxidatieproces heeft ondergaan. Het voelt alsof we op Mars zijn
Coöperatie voor bakkerijen, banketbakkers en ambachten die, via de kunst van haar medewerkers, het eeuwenoude erfgoed van de eilandbewoners blijft waarderen via haar brood, haar oorkoekjes en haar weefsels. Verplichte stopplaats
Ter nagedachtenis aan de stop van Cristovão Colombo in Lugar dos Anjos in 1493, waar hij de mis opdroeg in de kapel van N. Sra de Sant'Ana.

We had a full day tour with Miguel. He was excellent, making sure we saw absolutely everything there was to see and experiencing some of the wonders of tge island including walking barefoot on deep moss and swimming in the sea. Nothing was too much trouble. The day was full of humour and information. Very memorable.

Full day tour that was excellent value for money. We had a comprehensive view of the island and saw all the amazing highlights with plenty of time for stops. Our guide Riccardo was amazing. He knew everything about the island and could answer all our questions. We learned a lot from him and he was very kind and friendly. We also had a fabulous lunch - the best we have had in the Azores so far. Highly recommend.

Very well organized tour where various different landscapes of the island were presented together with it’s history in just one day with especially great guide Ricardo who showed us the most interesting and fabulous views of the island. We have just returned from our trip through Santa Maria and we cannot fail to recommend our guide Ricardo. From the first minute we were infected by his passion for the island of Santa Maria de Azores. Not only did it take us to the iconic landmarks like the Red Desert, the Aveiro Waterfall, the beautiful beaches, viewpoints and the Das Fontinhas nature reserve, but it shared local stories that do not appear in the books. His attention to detail and kindness made us feel at home and it has helped us a lot that this was perfect and unforgettable. Thanks Ricardo! Without you it wouldn't have been the same...

The tour was wonderful. My guide was Ricardo and was impeccable. It presented the island in a very authentic way that left me in love with Santa Maria. I was able to see the island from the perspective of the Mikalenses and discovered many things that I couldn’t find myself. It was just me on the tour and I'm grateful to Miguel and Ricardo for not canceling. Some companies cancel tours when there are not enough people so I was impressed with smartur’s policy of paying attention to each of their customers. Recommended this tour at 1000%

Very interesting day trip along all areas of Santa Maria Island. Our guide, Ricardo, made sure that we got a bigger picture of this island, and he did it. Always attentive to our comfort, and to meet expectations. He also assisted us in the transfers to and from the airport, facilitating these procedures with great diligence. Our stay on the island was pleasant and we had no problems, but the feeling that they had been resolved with your help if you showed up was very reassuring for us. Well coordinated and full of knowledge guide Miguel is well know in the island and we would not have asked for anyone else to escape the rain and find the sun. In fact we were rain out at one location and Miguel came back to it by the end of the day to get a great last picture Thank you Miguel
