De heidense tempel van Garni werd in de tweede helft van de 1ste eeuw gebouwd door koning Trdat III. Dit is de enige heidense tempel, die bewaard is gebleven op het grondgebied van Armenië. Na de goedkeuring van het christendom werd het de zomerresidentie van Khosrovadukht, de zuster van koning Trdat III. Het werd in 1679 verwoest door een aardbeving. Delen, fragmenten van sierlijke zuilen en muurstenen waren verspreid over de tempel. Er wordt verondersteld dat de tempel was opgedragen aan Mithra, de God van de zon. De tempel van Garni staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO.
Charents Arch ligt in de buurt van Yerevan, tussen de heidense tempel van Garni en het Geghard-kloostercomplex in het dorp Vokhchaberd. Op het eerste gezicht lijkt de Boog de meest gewone en onopvallende, maar komt dichterbij, gaat naar het platform binnen in de boog en kijkt naar het panorama, alles wordt duidelijk - dit is de beste plaats om de grote en heilige berg van Ararat te bewonderen , om er één te zijn en te genieten van het prachtige landschap.
Het Geghard-klooster is een van de grootste middeleeuwse architecturale bouwwerken in Armenië. Geghard is volledig uitgehold in een grot, het wordt ook wel een "grotklooster" genoemd. Dit klooster werd gesticht in de 4e eeuw na Christus. in plaats van de heilige bron, afkomstig uit de grot. De naam van het kloostercomplex Geghard (speer) komt van de Langin'n speer, die het lichaam van Jezus Christus aan het kruis doorboorde. Op dit moment wordt deze speer bewaard in het museum van Etchmiadzin. Het kloostercomplex Geghard staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO.
In de provincie Kotayk, niet ver van het dorp Garni, ligt een van de bekendste en mooiste natuurlijke monumenten van Armenië - Symphony of Stones. Dit natuurlijke monument zou het gevolg zijn van de ineenstorting van de vulkanische rotsen en bestaat uit enorme paradoxaal symmetrische zeshoekige en vijfhoekige basaltkolommen (bijna 50 meter hoog). Deze tegen de zwaartekracht hangende stenen lijken op een orgel, wat verklaart waarom het ook wel “Basalt Organ Pipes” wordt genoemd. De rivier de Azat stroomt door de kloof, waardoor de betoverende schoonheid van stenen door burles wordt gepeperd. Vanaf het grondgebied van het monument kun je ook het Khosrov Forest State Reserve binnengaan en een van de speciaal beschermde gebieden van Armenië ontdekken.

We had an amazing experience with Jan Armenia, and a big part of that was because of our guide and driver, Arshak. From day one, he was always before time, cheerful, polite, and incredibly helpful. As pure vegetarians, finding the right food was a challenge because of the language barrier, but he went out of his way to help us choose and order the right food everywhere we went. He even introduced us to local fruits and dishes we would have otherwise missed. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about making our trip special. He accompanied us to almost every place, climbed up to monasteries with us, explained the history, architecture, and significance of each place, and shared so many interesting stories about Armenia. He also took us to a few beautiful spots that weren't part of the itinerary but knew our son would absolutely love them. Those little surprises made our trip even more memorable. He also saved us from unnecessary haggling and places where tourists could easily be overcharged. Every stop was thoughtfully planned with clean washrooms, good coffee, and food options which made travelling with family so much easier. By the end of the trip, it genuinely felt like we were travelling with a local friend. His warmth, patience, knowledge, and hospitality made our Armenia trip unforgettable. A big thank you to the entire Jan Armenia team as well. Everything was managed smoothly from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would wholeheartedly recommend Jan Armenia to anyone planning a trip to Armenia.

We took a 5-person tour, our guide was Hakob Ezikyan and the driver Rudolf Pogosyan, it's over. It's great. Loved the picturesque places, the trip was comfortable and delicious.
