Deze tour van 14-15 uur bezoekt het Khor Virap-klooster met zijn prachtige uitzicht op de bijbelse berg Ararat. De volgende stop is bij het kloostercomplex Noravank, uniek in zijn constructie aangezien de Kerk van de Heilige Moeder van God het enige klooster met twee verdiepingen in Armenië is. Het volgende is het Tatev-klooster, een spiritueel centrum met een uitzonderlijke wetenschappelijke en politieke betekenis. Het klooster is omgeven door prachtige natuur. Op de terugweg van Tatev neemt u 's werelds langste kabelbaan zonder tussenstops "Tatever".

Khor Virap is het beroemdste bedevaartsoord in Armenië, omdat het direct verband houdt met de adoptie van het christendom. Als staatsgodsdienst werd het christendom in Armenië in 301 aangenomen als gevolg van inspanningen van de heilige Gregorius de Verluchter, die, voordat hij koning Trdat de 3e tot het christendom bekeerde, gevangen zat in de kerker, waarover in de 17e eeuw een kerk van het Khor Virap-klooster werd gebouwd. Vanuit het klooster kan men het prachtige uitzicht op de Bijbelse berg Ararat bewonderen.
Langs een smalle weg, omringd door rotsen van honderd grotten, ontdekt men een scène van harmonie van architectuur met de natuur. Het klooster, verankerd met mooie architectonische oplossingen en luxe versieringen, is een van de helderste voorbeelden van Armeense architectuur uit de 13e eeuw. Noravank bestaat uit St. Karapet, St. Gregorius De Verlichter kerken en St. Astvatsatsin (Heilige Moeder Gods) twee verdiepingen tellende kerk, die opmerkelijk is voor zijn ideale constructieve en sculpturale werk.
Op 16 oktober 2010 luidden de kerkklokken in Tatev de aankondiging van de lancering van een programma om een middeleeuws kloostercomplex nieuw leven in te blazen en de opening van "Wings of Tatev" Ropeway. De 5,7 km lange touwbaan, die binnen 11 maanden is aangelegd, loopt door een diepe kloof van de rivier de Vorotan en over heuvels, bedekt met weelderige bossen. De tram wordt ondersteund door drie torens tussen de twee terminals. Een terminal ligt op een heuvel, met uitzicht op het dorp Halidzor en de andere ligt in de buurt van Tatev Klooster, op de weg naar Tatev dorp. Twee hutten werken tegelijk en rijden in tegengestelde richting. Er zijn in totaal 6 kabels (3 voor elke hut), elk uniek voorzien voor de specificaties van dit project. Binnen ongeveer 11 minuten brengt een tram hut passagiers, 30 per keer, van het dorp Halidzor naar het prachtige complex van Tatev.
Onder de architectonische pijlers van Zangezour heeft het klooster van Tatev zijn "rivalen" niet. Het was vroeger het rijkste middeleeuwse klooster in Armenië. Naast een religieus centrum was Tatev ook het belangrijke strategische centrum van Syunik koninkrijk. Het Tatev klooster ligt op een natuurlijk verdedigde plek en is altijd een onneembare vesting geweest voor aliens. In onstabiele politieke omstandigheden leidden verschillende geheime wegen op het grondgebied van de vesting naar de canyon en dienden als verbinding tussen het klooster en de buitenwereld.

The tour guide MARINA was very good. Very emphatic. Very resilient. , when we had a cloud and thunders when we got to the cable car we waited until it was gone and did it. She didn’t cancel it immediately and I was very happy that thanks to her we did it eventually. Not only that. How she managed to move between the English speakers and Russian speakers and manage all the things I thought it was very impressive. . About the places they were very impressive. Very long day but it was worth it. I liked that we had a big bus on this tour with ports to charge your iPhone , and WiFi. Thanks marina for a great trip.

This was one of the most memorable day trips of my visit to Armenia and another excellent experience with Hyur Service. The itinerary covered some of the country's most iconic and breathtaking destinations, including Khor Virap, Noravank and Tatev Monastery, each offering a unique perspective on Armenia's history, culture and natural beauty. The journey was smooth and well organised, making it easy to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery along the way. Khor Virap offered magnificent views of Mount Ararat, and I was fortunate to see the mountain in crystal-clear weather. Noravank was stunning, with its dramatic red canyon setting and beautiful medieval architecture. The highlight of the day was Tatev Monastery and the Wings of Tatev ropeway, where the combination of history, engineering and breathtaking mountain landscapes created an unforgettable experience. The tour was very well paced, with enough time at each stop to explore, take photographs and appreciate the surroundings. The constantly changing scenery, from the Ararat Plain to deep canyons, mountain valleys and spectacular viewpoints, showcased the incredible diversity of Armenia. I highly recommend both this tour and Hyur Service to anyone visiting Armenia. It is a long day, but every kilometre is worth it, and it provides an outstanding introduction to Armenia's history, culture and natural beauty.

The tour guide Karen is very educated, as a scholar, continuously introducing various attractions along the way, learning a lot. The driver brother Aro opened the road very well and very smooth.
