Night Climb – Zonsopgangservaring bij Mount Pico

I climbed Pico with Justin, who is the most lovely soul and for sure will transfer on you the joy and wonderful stories! All in safe space, while considering tempo and fitness level of all members of the group. To say that I highly recommend seems like not enough!

I had an incredible experience with Go Climb Pico Azores! Due to strong winds and cloudy weather over the past few days, we had to reschedule our hike, and I’m so glad we did. The night we went was crystal clear—we could see the entire island and a stunning sky full of stars. It was much colder than I expected, and I unfortunately forgot my gloves and scarf. Our guide, Raisa, was professional, cheerful, and incredibly well-prepared; she kindly lent me the extra gear I needed. While the climb was tougher than I imagined, hiking at night was much more pleasant than during the day because of the cool air and the beautiful night views. Raisa kept the team’s spirit high and encouraged us to push through so we could reach the summit right on time. The sunrise was absolutely spectacular—truly once-in-a-lifetime! This trip was worth every bit of effort. Highly recommended!

We did climb #903 with Raisa. To say that she knows the mountain is an understatement! My son and I did this sunrise climb as his 18th birthday wish and it exceeded every expectation and is a memory that we will NEVER forget! We started as a small group of strangers and left as friends with a wonderful shared experience. Raisa is a ray of sunshine! She is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive and motivating. She made sure everyone had the appropriate gear before we left, gave us interesting information about the mountain and the Azores during the climb, and helped us to take the most amazing pictures - both capturing the stars in the night sky as well as the stunning sunrise above the clouds. Hot coffee and a treat at the top were icing on the cake. Her attention detail and warm personality made a lasting impression. Go Climb Pico is a seriously professional company run with huge heart. We can’t recommend it highly enough.

Without a doubt one of the best experiences I have ever had. Definitely the best I've had here at Pico. After 5 years living on the peak, I finally found someone who gave me security to climb. I made the night climb and felt mega safe with the preparation and dedication of Raissa, our guide. We came to a point where we were joking that she knew every rock in the mountain by its name. I recommend totally, especially in the parts of the rails that have loose stone, the knowledge of her made all the difference.

I had a perfect day climbing mount Pico with Raissa as our guide. She was very motivating, kept our spirits up and I learned from her technique, making the climb much easier. I also got great tips for getting to casa montinho from Joana and the pictures from the day were great. I would definitely recommend GoClimb for hiking mount Pico!

Starry skies, shooting stars, sunrise on Picomountain. What more could you want. However, good footwear and a little fitness are a prerequisite.
