Onze tours worden geleid door een klein lokaal familiebedrijf met meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in het veld. Dit is geen gewone tour. We maakten deze ervaring alsof we in jouw schoenen stonden. Wij geloven in kwaliteit boven kwantiteit en hopen meer te leveren dan u verwacht. Zorg ervoor dat u ons laat weten of u uw ervaring wilt aanpassen. Onze tours ondersteunen kleine Kauai bedrijven. Tijdens deze excursie verken je enkele van de mooiste plekken op Kauai; Waimea Canyon en Kokee State Park in de diepte. Daarnaast bezoekt u de grootste koffieplantage van de VS om de meest verse bonen te proeven. Van Canyons tot groene zeekliffen zult u zich verbazen over de schoonheid en kracht van de natuur. Je stapt terug in de tijd om charmante stadjes als Waimea en Hanapepe te bezoeken en onderweg heerlijke gerechten te proberen die zijn gemaakt met lokaal geproduceerde ingrediënten. Prachtige verhalen zullen worden gedeeld, maar het belangrijkste is dat we je aan het lachen maken en genieten van de dag. Laat ons u Kauai laten zien vanuit lokale ogen.

We bezoeken de grootste boomgaard van koffietelers en -branders in de VS. Proef ongeveer 5 soorten gratis. Wandel door een deel van de boomgaard tijdens een zelfgeleide tour en leer alle stadia van het verbouwen van koffie van zaadje tot kopje. Ga winkelen voor in Kauai geteelde koffiebonen en lokale souvenirs. Hou je niet van koffie? Geniet van een koud drankje of ijsje in hun snackbar.
We zullen uw dag zoeter maken met een korte stop bij Aloha Sweet Delights Bakery, waar u lokale en zelfgemaakte lekkernijen kunt kopen, zoals onze beroemde malasadas en manju.
In de stad Waimea, Kauai, maken we een korte stop waar de eerste westerse ontdekkingsreiziger, kapitein James Cook, op de eilanden landde. We zullen de ongelooflijke verhalen van zijn reis en zijn dood delen.
Waimea Canyon State Park is een van Kauai's natuurlijke wonderen, bekend als de mini Grand Canyon van de Stille Oceaan. Bewonder dit geologische juweeltje vanaf verschillende uitkijkpunten terwijl we de berg beklimmen tot ongeveer 3800 'hoogte. We stappen op verschillende locaties uit het busje voor geweldige fotomomenten. De hoofduitkijkpost van de Canyon is gesloten voor restauratie tot december 2025. Houd er rekening mee dat de Canyon ongeveer 15 mijl lang en 2 mijl breed is, daarom kunt u nog steeds genieten van een fenomenaal uitzicht vanaf vele plekken als u de Canyon weg op gaat. Majestueuze schoonheid op zijn best!
In het Koke'e State Park zullen we genieten van een ontspannende lunch in het Koke'e Lodge Restaurant. Hun eten en drinken zijn lokaal geproduceerd, zelfgemaakt en heerlijk (niet inbegrepen bij de tourprijs). Je krijgt 10% korting op je maaltijd en in hun winkel. Na de lunch heb je vrije tijd om het Koke'e-museum voor natuurlijke culturele geschiedenis te verkennen, een wandeling te maken door het prachtige grasveld omringd door Sugi- en Redwood-dennen, een korte en gemakkelijke natuurwandeling te maken om meer te weten te komen over de inheemse flora, en /of voer de kippen.
Kalalau, bekend als de vallei van verlichting, is de grootste en mooiste in de beroemde Na Pali-kust. Hoewel de uitzichten niet gegarandeerd zijn, zullen we ons best doen om u te laten genieten van dit natuurwonder.
Als laatste op onze agenda staat een bezoek aan het oude historische en charmante stadje Hanapepe, waar u kleine lokale bedrijven kunt steunen, boodschappen kunt doen voor Hawaï MADE-souvenirs en kunst, afkoelen met een heerlijke lokaal gemaakte fruitijslolly, bezoek aan de beroemde Talk Story Bookstore voor een aantal zeldzame en antieke boeken, en loop over de slingerende brug gebouwd in 1912, als je durft!

Laat ons via sms of e-mail weten waar je op eiland gaat verblijven. We halen reizigers op bij alle hotels en eigendommen aan de oost- en zuidkant van het eiland, bij de cruisehaven en de luchthaven. Gasten die aan de noordkust verblijven, ontmoeten ons in Kapaa stad op een locatie TBA voor de dag van uw tour.

- Als u via het schip komt en het schip niet aanmeert vanwege het weer of andere onvoorziene gebeurtenissen, zullen we een terugbetaling van 50% of een volledig krediet honoreren om binnen 12 maanden te worden gebruikt. Alle andere Geen restituties passeren de 24 uur voor aanvang van de tour.

Oh. My. Gosh! Cannot thank Coco enough for the wonderful experience she gave us on this tour! Mahalo! It was a pleasure to spend the day in her company, we could've done nothing but hang out with her and we would've had a great time. She was so personable and kind and a lot of fun. We loved getting to see the Waimea Canyon; it's majestic and has so many variations in vegetation and formation and coloration that anywhere you look is a unique scene. My 'in-laws' were particularly pleased with it's splendor in comparison to the Grand Canyon, which they enjoy. Coco took us to all of the lookout spots and, bonus, was a decent photographer with all the right placements of person to vista ratio. We also got to visit a bakery specializing in Malasadas (yes, yes, a thousand times yes!), the Kauai Coffee Company (freeeee samples!), the Koke'e Lodge (unctuously savory farm to table Hawaiian staples), & Koke'e State Park (although this particular tour did not have time for trails / views of Kalalau Valley) and Hanapepe, the little historic town featured in Lilo and Stitch with lots of great little local artisan shops. Coco shared interesting historical and cultural information along the way and was always encouraging us to ask questions. My partner was very interested in a geological book that she had, he even bought the last copy (it's out of print now) at the Koke'e Gift Shop. She gave us great recommendations for what else to try before we left (Wailua Shave Ice) and what to do on our last day between hotel check out and rental car return (Kilohana Plantation). We just loved Coco so much! <3 I named my super kawaii pineapple travel pillow souvenir 'Coco-chan' :3 Oh yeah, Coco's daughter, Shasta, is also a guide and we kept seeing her at different stops; I would 100% recommend her expertise as well. Ohana, yo!

Signed up for small group but because of low sign up adjusted to semi private tour for 4 people. Shasta was our host and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about island. Picked up and returned us up to our resort so no driving which was great. Gave us plenty of time at each stop and recommendations of what to look for, what to eat and where to shop. Always felt safe with her driving and use of head set made it easy to hear while driving. Would definitely recommend.

This tour was an engaging and stunning introduction to Kaua'i. We knew little to nothing about the island when we arrived and wouldn't have had the slightest idea where to drive and explore had we just gone out on our own. The tour taught us so much about the island, which greatly improved our experience for the rest of our visit. It was an incredible way to see many of the island's highlights from the best possible vantage points, while also enjoying an authentic experience of the culture of the island. Crucially, the company reached out to us a couple of days prior to the tour to alert us to issues with underbooking, and provided a range of options of how to still enjoy the tour while adjusting for the circumstances. The personal communication, friendliness and commitment to providing an excellent experience are second to none. Almost immediately, it felt like having a local friend show you their favorite spots on the island, rather than being an impersonal and overly rehearsed tour. We didn't know it upon booking, but the family-owned nature of the company really showed through over the course of the tour, which added to the authenticity and personal feel of the tour. That said, it was still a professional, clean and safe tour. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone visiting the island, regardless of age or party size. If you are lucky enough to have Shasta as your tour guide, I can 100% promise you're in for an excellent experience.
