Als u Kauai bezoekt, mag u de prachtige NaPali Coast absoluut niet missen. Wij bieden een unieke ervaring om dat te doen. Als een door inheemse families gerund bedrijf zijn we erg blij dat we al 200 jaar in onze winkel zitten en de gedocumenteerde geschiedenis van onze familie verzamelen om te delen over de NaPali Coast. Onze kapiteins en bemanning delen graag hun eigen cultuur en geschiedenis met u tijdens onze tours. U kunt kiezen uit een van onze vier vaartuigen voor een persoonlijkere en comfortabelere tour van 4,5 tot 5 uur. Onze vaartuigen zijn precies de juiste maat om zeegrotten comfortabel te verkennen als het weer het toelaat. We kunnen niet wachten om u aan boord te hebben!

Tijdens ons winterseizoen (eind november tot april) bieden onze middagtours geen snorkelen aan. We gebruiken die tijd voor walvissen kijken en zonsondergang. Kom met ons mee voor een geweldige snorkel- en lunchtour van 5 uur, aan de adembenemende NaPali-kust samen! Deze plaats heeft een immense historische betekenis en is de thuisbasis van een verscheidenheid aan zeeleven, waaronder dolfijnen. Onze inheemse familie co, is een deel van de Waimea gemeenschap voor 200 jaar, waar we vertrekken naar de NaPali Coast, onze familie geschiedenis is onvoorstelbaar uit geschiedenisboeken als de eerste om buitenlanders te zeilen op onze familie zeilen dubbelwandige zeilkano's naar NaPali Coast door gedocumenteerde geschiedenis. We zijn verheugd om onze rijke geschiedenis en erfgoed met u te delen. Het delen van hun eigen verhalen en cultuur om een echt onvergetelijke ervaring te creëren. Kies uit onze vier comfortabele catamarans, die dezelfde fantastische tourervaring bieden. Als het weer het toelaat, verkennen we meerdere zeegrotten en snorkelen we in ongerept water.
Dit schilderachtige staatspark, ook wel bekend als de Grand Canyon van de Stille Oceaan, kijkt uit over de kleurrijke Waimea Canyon, die zich uitstrekt over 22 kilometer en meer dan 1100 meter diep is.

Geef eventuele allergieën binnen uw groep aan ons door. Vergeet niet om uw lunchbestelling een week voor uw tour of uiterlijk 24 uur voor uw tour in te sturen. We kiezen standaard voor kalkoenbroodjes als we je lunchopties niet ontvangen. We bieden ook chips, frisdrank, gemengde sappen en water
- Onze leeftijdsgrens is 4 jaar en ouder op onze grotere schepen en 9 jaar en ouder op onze kleinere schepen.
- ZWANGERSCHAP We maken uitzonderingen voor zwangerschappen alleen tijdens onze zomermaanden, ( juni, juli en augustus ) wanneer de oceaanomstandigheden rustiger zijn. Vrouwen die in verwachting zijn, kunnen tot 22 weken zwangerschap deelnemen aan deze tour, samen met goedkeuring van hun arts. Een doktersverklaring moet worden ingediend door een arts, rechtstreeks naar Makana Charters VIA e-mail of fax en moet worden goedgekeurd door het management voorafgaand aan het boeken van een reservering. Neem contact met ons op om te reserveren zodra uw nota is ingediend.

Our tour with Makana Charters and Tours was hands down one of the best experiences of our trip to Kauai. Every moment was incredible, from the stunning views of the Nā Pali Coast to the amazing marine life and hidden gems we got to experience. We were fortunate enough to see both bottlenose and spinner dolphins, sea turtles, cascading waterfalls, and explore breathtaking sea caves. The scenery was absolutely spectacular and something we'll never forget. What truly made the experience exceptional was our outstanding crew—Lionel, Captain Mike, and Tony. They were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and made everyone feel safe and welcome from start to finish. Their passion for Kauai and the ocean was contagious, and they shared interesting stories and information throughout the tour while making sure everyone had an amazing time. If you're considering a Nā Pali Coast tour, don't hesitate to book with Makana Charters and Tours. The Amelia K tour was amazing. The views were fabulous and the crew stopped for us to see the wild life. The crew was great.
Great group of guys running this! The scenery was INSANE! We had a member get INSANELY seasick even though she took a bunch of meds. And they took GREAT care of her! Great trip! But if you can’t do the sea it is NOT for you!
We were hoping this would be the highlight of our trip and it was. The crew and Amelia K was awesome. Waves were a rockin....but the crew checked in on us constantly. We chose not to snorkel but that did not detract from the excursion. Can't say enough good things about the crew that made this memorable. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience! Only thing that could be better is if the departure point were further West on the island in order to spend more time along the North coast instead of having to go around from the South
Our experience with Makana Charters was seamless from beginning until the end! Booking and check in process was organized and efficient. Captain Mike and his crew Jay and Jas made the experience! Such an incredible experience. Our first time on the NaPali coast and I can't imagine a more positive experience. We really enjoyed the captain and crew. The boat is beautiful and was perfect for viewing the coast and sea life. Our entire family from 9 to 79 enjoyed this experience.
Our excursion on the Amelia K was probably the best one we’ve ever taken. This was our 5th trip to the NaPali Coast. The past excursions were on Zodiak’s with great companies Blue Dolphin, Captain Jack’s and Makena Tours far exceeded our expectations for sure! I can’t recommend them enough and I’ll definitely book with them again!
There are boat tours and then there is THIS boat tour. The views are breathtaking, the boat tour is thrilling (and a bit scary - those crazy swells - and wet at times!) The crew is fun, helpful, funny, and just all around fantastic. We highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Kauai! It was a highlight.
This was an amazing tour - seeing sea caves and driving into a waterfall. Fun time had by all. And, the snorkeling spot is amazing
