3. Lake Sevan - Het hooggebergte Sevanmeer is de "parel van Armenië". Lake Sevan - gelegen op een hoogte van 1.900 m boven zeeniveau in het centrum van het Armeense hoogland, 63 km ten noordoosten van de Armeense hoofdstad Jerevan en is het grootste van de meren van de Kaukasus.
4. Sevanavank- Het kloostercomplex Sevanavank ligt op het schiereiland Sevan. In 305 werd het gesticht door St. Gregorius de Verlichter, die de kerk bouwde op de plaats van een heidense tempel. Het klooster was streng omdat het vooral bedoeld was voor die monniken uit Etchmiadzin die gezondigd hadden. Jean-Marie Chopin, een Franse ontdekkingsreiziger van de Kaukasus, bezocht daar in 1830 en schreef over een regime dat zich onthoudt van vlees, wijn, jongeren of vrouwen. Een andere ontdekkingsreiziger bezocht het klooster in 1850 en schreef hoe manuscripten nog steeds handmatig werden gekopieerd.
Hier hebben we een optionele stop bij de food court van Tsovagyugh, waar u kunt uitrusten en wat kunt eten.
De tour brengt je vervolgens naar het noorden van Armenië, waar je omringd wordt door prachtige natuur. Je passeert ‘’Armeens Zwitserland’’ - de stad Dilijan. We stoppen bij Lake Parz - de parel van Dilijan. Lake Parz is het hele jaar door prachtig. In de zomer kun je hier ontspannen van de hitte, vanwege de koude stromingen en dichte bomen rondom het meer. Lake Parz is beroemd om zijn uiterlijk: het spiegelende oppervlak weerspiegelt volledig de kleuren van het omringende bos; in de zomer en lente - tinten groen, in de herfst - rood en goud, en in de besneeuwde winter - een speciale schoonheid in blauw en wit.
Volgende stop is Ijevan Wine Brandy Factory, waar u kunt genieten van een rondleiding door de wijnmakerij en Armeense wijn en brandewijn kunt proeven. Inbegrepen: - 2 soorten wijn: Sargon rood of wit, granaatappelwijn (kan andere gewone wijn of fruitwijn zijn) - Armeense brandewijn 7 jaar oud - Kaasplankje - Gedroogd fruit - Chocolade - Water Ijevan Wine-Brandy Factory is een van de eerste wijnmakerijen in Armenië die in 1951 werd opgericht. De fabriek produceert hoogwaardige brandewijnen, druiven- en fruitwijnen, mousserende wijnen, wodka's, sappen en diverse conserven.

5. Tbilisi is de hoofdstad en de grootste stad van Georgië, gelegen aan de oevers van de rivier de Kura met een bevolking van ongeveer 1,2 miljoen mensen. Tbilisi werd in de vijfde eeuw na Christus gesticht door Vakhtang I van Iberia en heeft sindsdien gediend als de hoofdstad van verschillende Georgische koninkrijken en republieken. It was a great experience travelling with Jan Armenia Tours. Luiza is very friendly and responsive to my questions regarding the booking prior to the tour. Arthur, our driver, is also very experienced, friendly and patient (for the long driving hours) The tour is well organised - perfect for those who want to move between the cities and visit the sightseeing spots in between. Lake Sevan and Lake Parz are very beautiful and quite different. The Ijevan wine and brandy factory tour is interesting too. Everything is true to the experience descriptions. Additionally, we were late to schedule due to congestion at the border and traffic at Tbilisi due to protest, he was always patient and calm with these situations. Due to the protest and road closure he had to drop us off to the nearest location but he provided all the instructions we needed and was very apologetic even that was not his fault. Luiza also checked in on us upon this issue to make sure we arrived at the hotel.

This is a great way to travel between the two cities! The stops along the way were nicely spaced and our driver was very knowledgeable and answered all our many questions. The wine and brandy factory tour and tasting was a highlight.

Everything was perfect! Davit, the driver, was on time at my hotel in Yerevan, and we went through three stops: Lake Sevan (going to the Sevanavank monastery), then to the Dilijan national park, and finally, after lunch, Davit guided me to a winery in Ijevan. It was my first experience in a winery and I loved it. Then we made our way to Tbilisi. The driver was very professional, kind, and gave me lots of time in each stop so I could truly enjoy the trip. As for the company, excellent communication. I recommend them 5/5 stars.
A friend took several tours, wanted to see the sights of Armenia at most in a short time. We were very lucky that there was a Tbilisi-Yerevan Vacation Package and we did not just spend time travelling from point A to point B, but with great pleasure and warmth Mr. Vachigan visited interesting places along the way. The service is at an altitude of 👍Definitely recommended. We are very happy that Jan Armenia was chosen. We visited the locations that were planned in a day. Our Guide answered a lot of our questions, and talked about traditions and attractions. Delighted with the Ijevan Winery and Cognac, we were given a tour, a tasting. This was a great way to go between Yerevan and Tbilisi with stops in Sevan and Dilijan. David was a great driver and very friendly. The car was spacious with AC. The change in landscape after Sevan from barren slopes to alpine foredts is stark and beautiful. At times we were along the border with Azerbaijan and could see the watch-towers facing each other across the valley with abandoned homes inbetween.
