ザンジバルの歴史的な中心であるストーンタウンは、狭い路地、にぎやかな市場、スワヒリ語建築であふれています。 東アフリカ奴隷貿易における島の役割を記念する奴隷市場や、クイーン歌手フレディ・マーキュリーの生家などを見学できる。 ハウス・オブ・ワンダーズは、木製のバルコニー、大きなドア、電気とエレベーターを備えた最初の建物としての歴史が印象的です。 ストーンタウンは、湾曲した彫刻が施された扉、歴史ある旧城砦、屋台料理のあるフォロダニ庭園、スパイスや織物、工芸品を売る活気ある市場などで有名です。 モスク、寺院、美術館、ウォーターフロントの港が豊かな文化体験を完成させます。
亀の聖地。 樹齢100年を超える巨大なアルダブラガメが有名で、餌やりや写真撮影ができる。 島には歴史的な監獄跡もあり、元々は反抗的な奴隷のために作られたが、後に天然痘や黄熱病などの病気の検疫所として使われた。 遺跡の間を歩きながら島の歴史を学ぶことができる。 プリズンアイランドはターコイズ色の透き通った海と小さな砂浜が楽しめます。

We had an amazing experience exploring Stone Town, the spice tour, and Prison Island. Everything was well organized and full of interesting history and culture. Stone Town is beautiful and full of character, and the spice tour was fun and very informative—you get to see and taste everything fresh! Prison Island was also a highlight, especially seeing the giant tortoises and enjoying the clear water. Big thanks to our guide Ramadhan—he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole trip enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Zanzibar!

We were with Ramadan in stone town and prison island, he explained to us everything about stone town, the history of the slave trade touched my heart😭 The Aldabra tortoises in prison island ware very interesting
A great tour of Stone Town and Prison Island with our guide, Ramadhan He was incredibly knowledgeable and made the history of the island come alive. Seeing the giant tortoises was a highlight! Even during Ramadan, the tours ran smoothly, though it’s helpful to dress modestly and be mindful of the quieter daytime atmosphere. Highly recommend asking for Ramadhan if you book
