Our experience in Egypt was elevated to unforgettable and once in a lifetime because of Ramses. We did a full day with him—Great Pyramids of Giza, then to Dashur and Saqqara, he then dropped us off at the museum, then picked us back up late night for our exclusive pyramid tour. Overall, not only would we have not been able to do it as efficiently without Ramses, understanding what we were even looking at would have been impossible. The guy is an encyclopedia of Egyptian history. I feel like it’s important to note that I saw other people with guides as we explored but it was clear to me that Ramses was way more knowledgeable and fun to be around than what I saw other people getting from their guides. He also is very familiar with all of the staff around the sites, this is important. Something we actually really dropped the ball on was being prepared for small tips at the sites, but again Ramses had our backs on that and took care of us. He was extremely kind, takes great photos—really, and puts great service and comfort as a top priority. His driver, Joey, was also extremely nice and also a smooth driver which is more important than you’d think. I personally get motion sickness in cars I’m not driving and even with the crazy traffic, I was able to enjoy the time in the car. They had a cooler in the back with soda, juice and always a fresh cold water in your door pocket. Also good to note that he picked us up in a brand new vehicle, nice captain seat mini van, and Ramses also mentioned that he always makes sure his cars are new for his clients because you do end up spending a few hours in the car depending on where you have him take you. I also recommend using him to arrange your airport transfer. You don’t want to skip this detail. Overall, 11/10 experience. Highly recommend. PS the exclusive great pyramid experience was kind of insane. If you can afford it, don’t skip it.

Ramses met us at the port gate exactly on time with a comfortable air conditioned vehicle and a driver who was braver in the traffic than I would have been. We had organised, or rather Ramses organised, a golf cart for our visit to the pyramids. This was great as I wanted to avoid too much walking. With this he was able to take us to see the plateau from a unique view point as well as the well loved views. We then went to the GEM and walked through the main hall to Tutankhamens hall. It makes so much difference to the experience to have a knowledgeable and interesting guide. We saw what we had told him was important to us. We never felt rushed and were returned to our ship right at the time we requested. I would absolutely recommend Ramses to make your day meets.

We had an absolutely tremendous 2 days with Ramses! On the first day, we explored the pyramids and on the second day we did a city tour. He even organized our airport transfers for us! He is not only super knowledgeable about all things Egyptian history, he is a blast to hang out with and made our time here so special. Book him now!

We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide! Ramses is SO knowledgeable and passionate about Egypt’s rich history, culture, food and so much more! He is a fun person to be around, is an excellent photographer, and took care of us even when we weren’t with him-arranging our transportation, restaurant reservations and making sure all was running smoothly for us. We don’t think anyone could have done a better job showing us around Cairo, teaching us about Cairo and giving us all the experiences he gave us in Cairo, in just two days! We miss him and would recommend him to anyone!

We were so worried about scams and this tour and guide created the experience we had hoped for and more. You’ll be picked up early to beat the crowds and we had no idea how lucky we were until we saw how busy both the pyramids and the GEM were as we were leaving each. My wife and I found both the pyramids and the GEM, to outlive our expectations on their own but having insightful commentary along the way, from someone whom is actually passionate about it, made it even better. I highly recommend this tour!

Ramses was absolutely incredible! His knowledge was unmatched, and he somehow knew exactly what we needed without us even having to ask. He tailored the entire tour around our interests, giving us the most unforgettable experience of Cairo. From the moment we met him, we felt so welcomed and genuinely taken care of. We actually booked 3 days with Ramses as part of our family spring break. Giza Pyramids and GEM, Dahshur and Saqqara, and Cairo church/market tour/experience. Ramses was exceptional on all fronts… knowledgeable and well educated, engaging with our whole family, organized and punctual, and a great communicator. I would definitely recommend a private guide to get the full experience of Cairo and lessen the hectic nature of the city, and feedback from my kids was that they loved Ramses. My wife and I booked three tour days with Ramses: (1) Coptic and Islamic Cairo, (2) Gizeh Pyramids and the Sphynx, (3) Saqqara and Dahshur. Everything was amazing, and we would highly recommend booking with Ramses. Here is an overview of our experience: Ramses pays close attention to detail to ensure everything is well organized. He chooses the right times—often early—to avoid the crowds and create a unique experience when visiting the sites. On-site, Ramses guided us away from the crowds, highlighting the unique artifacts and stories that bring ancient Egypt to life. His knowledge and experience (he has a PhD in archaeology specializing in Ancient Egypt) are truly exceptional; we enjoyed being able to “nerd out” about the history and culture of the Ancient Egyptians with him. One of the most unique parts of our tours was going inside the pyramids. Guides are not allowed inside these sites, but Ramses provided all the explanations, and then we explored on our own while he waited for us. Going inside the narrow passages, especially in the Great Pyramid and the more challenging Step Pyramid, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our day exploring Islamic and Coptic Cairo provided a different, unique view into the heart and heritage of the city; we highly recommend it if you have the time. Overall, Ramses always ensured that we were comfortable, safe, and satisfied, delivering us door-to-door to the main sites, handling our entrance tickets, and guiding us through Cairo and its nearby ancient sites.
