Kelvin was a wonderful tour guide. Perfect English, humorous, great stories. Was a little rainy and he kept us under cover and timed walks in between showers. Don’t let the weather stop you.
I had a truly fascinating tour with Kelvin. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city's history and the events of World War II, sharing countless interesting details along the way. In between the historical explanations, Kelvin was also a wonderful person to talk to. I honestly wish the tour had lasted much longer. Thank you, Kelvin!

My wife and I went on this tour with Kelvin last week, and had a went on this tour with Kelvin last week, and had an excellent time. The meeting place in front of the Town Hall was easy to get to via mass transit. The tour went at a very reasonable pace around downtown old Hamburg. Calvin provided a very detailed level of history in relation to the buildings and scenery around us, and had excellent suggestions for photo opportunities. The tour included access to the Saint Nikolai Mahnmal, both to the below – ground crypt, as well as the elevator over 200 feet in the spire. We highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning more about Hamburg’s millenium spanning history.
Kelvin was an excellent guide for this English language walking tour around the centre of Hamburg, providing clear historical and local context and good opportunities for photos, which he was only too happy to take. Visiting the Rathaus, the St Petri church and the remains of St Nikolai, as well as a very good exhibition about the wartime blitz, the tour is a great way to get an introduction to this city. Thoroughly recommended.

A very beautiful experience from start to finish. An engaged guide, passionate about history, very attentive to the needs of the group. An interesting retrospective of Hamburg's history, with a particular focus on World War II. A way to see things from the Germans' perspective, where history books often give us the allies' viewpoint. I learned things and it opened up perspectives and allowed me to ask some new questions. A big thank you for that, I recommend this activity without reservation.
