We are here in Washington DC on a family trip for American’s 250th & my parent’s 35th wedding anniversary. We’ve done some things all together as a family, and some things we’ve done as individual couples. I had to have emergency back surgery, and I’m still recovering. Back surgery is not a good mix with all of the walking that you have to do in DC. With all that being said, we did a different tour with the whole family towards the beginning of our trip. The tour guide for that was great, but because of everything going on for all of the America 250, there was a lot of stuff that was blocked off and we didn’t get to see most of the monuments. I’m really glad we decided to book this tour!! We were able to see everything on the itinerary, even with all of the challenges of the America 250 traffic and things being blocked off. Our tour guide was great and very informative. And we were able to get out and take pictures! This was well worth the price!!! Honestly, if/when I come back to Washington DC, I would take this tour again because they are always adding new monuments, I’m not able to come often enough to remember the lay of the land, it’s a great refresher of the history for me (and I usually learn something new on these kinds of tours too), and because it’s a great way to see a lot of the major monuments in just two hours.
It was good. There was lots of traffic but not the driver’s fault. He was very nice but could and should learn more about the buildings, monuments, and history of the DC area. He did not seem to know very much about the history.

Due to road closures, our guide had to adjust the route and focus carefully on driving safely while still showing you around the city. He provided plenty of information, but safety is always our top priority, especially during heavy traffic and closures. This is a great way to see the highlights without the hassle of having to park at each stop or if you have trouble walking. Our guide was very informative and helpful. There is construction all over the city but we still got to enjoy the major sites.
