1680 年にポルトガル王冠をもたらした城壁都市に到着します。この城壁都市には、金、銀、宝石を求めてブエノスアイレスに向かって航行するスペイン船を監視するため、軍事使節や文民使節が同行しました。 当時の不安定な建物、手作りの屋根、ランタン、自然排水が施された石造りの道路が、時代を超えて固定され、軍用門、跳ね橋、砲艦とともに魔法のように保存されている都市で見ることができます。

1680 年に建てられたサンフランシスコ ハビエル修道院の遺跡の裏手には、コロニア灯台が 1753 年に建てられました。この灯台はファラロン島の灯台と結合しており、船舶が航行可能区域に入る際に左舷と右舷を示しています。

A very informative tour of Colonia, with historical insights tied to the steps you walk and buildings you walk by. You can imagine what life was like for the settlers and residents of history.

I’m glad I booked this tour over the one that can be booked from the ferry terminal building. There were so many people on those tours. This was much more intimate and our guide was so lovely and knowledgeable. She even helped me book a taxi with her trusted taxi driver so I wouldn’t miss my ferry. Highly recommend.
