From the moment we got picked up Mohammad Husein was a great guide. He explained things we passed by and the history of places, he spoke very good English and was very helpful with all questions we had. He is a great driver , our first time on the dunes was super fun, took us to a few inland seas and helped with pictures and videos. The guys at the camp were super friendly respectful and attentive. Food was good and accomodations clean. We will be happy to return

We booked an overnight desert safari by email from our hometown of Munich, Germany, and received a great offer. Communication was fast and easy, and advance payment was straightforward as well. Via WhatsApp, we arranged the pickup for 2:00 pm at our hotel in Doha. Our driver arrived about 20 minutes early, and the drive out to the desert was smooth and comfortable. We kept all our luggage with us, which was no problem at all. The drive to the desert took almost an hour, during which we had a wonderful conversation with our driver, Iam Jamir. He shared fascinating insights into life in Qatar—his own experiences, the culture, and how daily life is organized. We really enjoyed chatting with him; it gave us new and valuable perspectives. Once we reached the desert, the adventure truly began. We went dune bashing in his white Land Cruiser—an amazing experience! Iam is a fantastic driver, and the ride was pure fun. Around 5:00 pm we arrived at the camp, just in time for breathtaking sunset views. The food was very good, the room was comfortable, and everything was relaxed and well organized. A school class was staying in nearby rooms, which created a lively and cheerful atmosphere in the evening -great dance music including Afro house, Arabic hip-hop, international pop. We spend half of the night close to the water and were listening to the sea and the waves while enjoying cold soft drinks. Highly recommended! If you can, make sure to experience the dunes. With Iam, it was an unforgettable ride.
My sister and I visited the Al Rayan Camp for a night. We’re very grateful to our host MOHAMMED HUSSAIN for his warm welcome and genuine hospitality. A special mention to Hussain for his excellent driving skills. He made the dune bashing both exciting and safe, giving us a terrific time and a memorable experience. The camp is set in a beautiful desert location, and the atmosphere is peaceful and memorable, especially at night. The staff were kind and did their best to make us comfortable, which we truly appreciated. Facilities are basic and could benefit from better maintenance. There is heated water in the VIP rooms and wifi on the premises. The buffet dinner and breakfast were decent and satisfying, though the selection was fairly limited. The food was prepared with care, but a wider variety would have enhanced the overall dining experience. Lovely setting for a bonfire with the option to add on a shisha to the experience as well. Overall, it was a meaningful experience thanks to the setting and the people, but there is room for improvement in the quality and consistency of the amenities.

We had the half day tour (not overnight) with our guide Sajid who was very informative, friendly and attentive. We did all the activities listed including dune bashing, camel riding, sand boarding and the dinner. Make sure you bring cash if you want to do extra activities. Great experience and recommend to everyone! During this time it wasn’t full of tourists which made the experience better.
The sand dune ride would’ve been amazing if I were a bit braver. I’m scared of heights, so it was honestly pretty terrifying for me, but it would definitely be thrilling for those who love adventures. The view of the sea from the villa makes up for it — it’s so peaceful and calming, especially when you just sit and take it all in.
Shahzeb has 12 years of experience driving for dune bashing. It was thrilling yet safe. Communication was easy, he speaks fluent english. He helps with loading and unloading of bags to and fro. Overall good transportation.
Great location and driver was superb - Ismail is a champ! Unfortunately at the hotel we were not provided any overview of the schedule, where to find sand boards, etc. This could have been better organized.
It was amazing and fun for the whole family. Ismail was great. The quad biking was really fun. We all enjoyed it a lot it was a great experience.
