My sister and I took a VW tour of San Francisco with our guide, Chad, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We explored Haight-Ashbury, the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, Little Italy, the Painted Ladies, the iconic Full House setting, and more. The small-group experience was intimate, relaxed, and so much fun. Chad was fantastic—knowledgeable and entertaining, with funny stories and perfectly timed music to match the different areas we visited. And then there was Harvey, our VW bus! He added just the right amount of kitsch and personality to an already memorable experience. If 10 stars were an option, we’d give it 10! Highly recommend this tour for a fun and unique way to experience San Francisco.

Chad was the perfect guide and host. Warm, funny and knowledgeable. Loved the “groovy” comfortable van too.

This is the San Francisco VW van tour you need to take. Harvey is a cool, authentic, classic VW van, and took us up and down the beautiful San Francisco hills like the little engine that could. Our guide Chad is a real one. You can tell he genuinely loves the city, is excited about the history, and made the tour so darn fun. We sang, we laughed, we had chocolate, got to see the sights and learn some stuff. We saw the city from an amazing vantage point only a true local could know about. We enjoyed meeting the other ladies on the tour too, it was truly such a great afternoon. Don’t be fooled by those wild paint jobs of the others. If you want substance more than flash, this is a much more worthwhile and original tour to choose. Thanks so much to Chad, you have no idea how much getting to spend that time touring around town with you Harvey meant to my friend. Her San Francisco dream come true. (Shout out to George btw, you sound pretty cool and your painted lady is beautiful!)

Vantigo is undoubtedly the best way to see San Francisco! Being a classic car aficionado, I was already interested just a ride in a classic VW bus. Well, I wasn't disappointed.The ride is iconic, the tour guide is friendly and fun, the tour takes you to the major sites, as well as since you didn't know that you needed to go. I just can't see enough good things about this company! I feel like a San Fran insider now, lol. We went a couple of months ago, but we're thinking about going again, and this tour will definitely be at the top of our list!!

This tour came highly recommended and did not disappoint one bit. Our guide Josh knew more than we needed to know and that was the beauty of his tour … surprises and info around every corner. Knowledge and passion made the three hours fly by. Grass roots tour with your boots on the ground.

Chad our guide was amazing. Very personable and full of knowledge. Managed to also play songs that related to the different ares we visited. The VW van was so cute. Plus he took some amazing photos for us. Would recommend to anyone looking to get an overview of San Francisco in a few hours. Also gave us some great tips of place to eat at.

This is one of the greatest rides in SF. It definitely worth your time to cruise around SF with Lilly (hopefully spelled right), Chud’s ride coming from the VW past. Great Places, lots of points we would have missed, old stories blended in a single ride!

The entire tour was a great experience. The guide (Josh) was terrific. The length of the visit was good -- about 3 hours. There were only 5 of us in the van which gave everyone a chance to ask questions as well as rotate seats so everyone had a good view. Overall, a great time.
