Daniel was an exceptional tour guide and a true expert on Évora. His deep knowledge of the city’s history, culture, and traditions brought every street, monument, and landmark to life. Anyone can walk through this beautiful city and admire its charm, but understanding the stories and historical significance behind what you’re seeing makes the experience unforgettable—and that’s exactly what Daniel provided. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and left with a much greater appreciation for Évora. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend booking a tour with Daniel. It will make your visit far more meaningful and memorable.

This was an excellent walking tour around Evora, with many very interesting snippets of history about the people buildings and even of Portugal more generally. Paulo (?) was a fount of great knowledge, even adding recommendations on wine tasting and great lunch spots, the latter of which we tried and were not disappointed! Strongly recommended for content, context, pace, recommendations and the noteworthy sites of Evora.

Joao Matos was our expert guide and made this the best European tour we have ever done. He leveraged his vast expertise in history (graduate student in ancient history) while keeping it engaging for a broad audience, including our teenage sons. He taught us so much in just two hours all with levity and perspective. He even helped us book an outstanding dinner in Évora. Highly recommend.

Fabulous waking tour with Joao. Was lucky enough to have the tour solo. Joao is a delightful guy. Full of information & super interesting. Would definitely recommend doing this tour & as soon as you arrive in Evora. Gives you a good outline of the city.
