To the Management of NH Schiphol Airport I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction and disappointment regarding the misleading information and apparently discriminatory implementation of your hotel’s shuttle bus service. According to your official hotel website, it clearly states that complimentary shuttle bus service is provided. However, upon arrival, we were informed that a fee of €5 per trip is required and that reservations must be made in advance. When we attempted to reserve seats, the front desk staff explicitly informed us that group tourists are not eligible to use this service. I must emphasize that our entire group consists of Asian tourists, and we felt clearly targeted by this exclusionary policy. It is difficult not to suspect that this practice constitutes discrimination based on ethnic origin or nationality, which is both unacceptable and unlawful. As guests who have paid for our stay at your hotel, we do not understand why the shuttle service—which is advertised as an available facility—would exclude certain categories of guests. We are all paying customers and expect fair and equal access to the services promoted by the hotel. The staff showed no willingness to resolve the issue or offer any alternative solution. Instead, they simply reiterated the policy without consideration or empathy. This experience has left me deeply disappointed, especially from a hotel that claims to maintain high service standards. This was an extremely unwelcoming and tourist-unfriendly experience. Due to the misleading advertisement and the discriminatory treatment we encountered, we will not consider using NH services in the future.
