We had an outstanding tour of Saqqara and Memphis with Sam as our guide and Sayeed as our driver. Sayeed kept us safe throughout the day and navigated everything smoothly, even getting us straight to the airport after the tour without a single delay. Sam organised the entire experience so we made the very best use of our time. He explained every site with real expertise — even drawing in the sand to show the evolution of the pyramids through the ages, which brought the history to life in such a memorable way. He was patient, welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Sam made sure we had soft drinks throughout the day, took photos for us, and even picked up lunch for us on the way to the airport. His care and attention made the whole experience feel effortless and enjoyable. We can’t recommend him highly enough. If you get the chance, do one of Sam’s tours — you won’t regret it.

After our fantastic experience with Sam at the Pyramids and Sphinx, we enjoyed the tour so much that when we planned our visit to Saqqara and Memphis, we made sure to request Sam again. That, in itself, says everything about how highly we thought of him. Once again, Sam’s knowledge, enthusiasm and genuine care made the experience exceptional. But what really stood out was the care and attention he gave us as individuals. We had a free morning before needing to return to the airport, and Sam completely tailored the day around our schedule, making sure we could see and experience as much as possible without ever feeling rushed. He even arranged everything to get us directly to the airport afterwards, making what could have been a stressful final morning completely seamless. From Saqqara to Memphis, Sam brought the history to life with the same passion and incredible knowledge we had experienced on our first tour. More importantly, he genuinely cared about making sure we had a memorable experience. Great guide, incredible knowledge, fantastic service — and, even better, a genuinely great guy. We would have no hesitation recommending Sam to anyone visiting Egypt. If you have the opportunity to have him as your guide, take it — you won’t regret it.
