Had a great day despite it raining a lot during our trip! Henry is really funny and made the trip go back fast. The tunnels was an eye opener for me. If possible, book the VIP van and ask for Henry

Unfortunately, this tour was very disappointing for our family, and I would especially caution anyone travelling with elderly family members. Firstly, I have to question the description of the vehicle as a “limousine van.” The vehicle we were provided was nowhere near what we expected from something advertised as a limousine. Three passengers were expected to sit together across the very back seat. For a short transfer this might be manageable, but on this tour you are travelling for TWO TO THREE HOURS AT A TIME. The ride at the back was extremely uncomfortable. The passengers were constantly rocking and being thrown from side to side with the movement of the vehicle. After sitting there for hours, you arrive feeling exhausted and physically uncomfortable. Calling this a “limousine” experience is, in our opinion, absurd. When a tour involves approximately 7½ hours of road travel in one day, the comfort and quality of the vehicle are extremely important. Travellers, particularly elderly passengers, should know exactly what type of seating and vehicle they are going to spend most of their day in. We also did not expect so much of the tour to revolve around shopping and selling products. The first stop associated with the Cu Chi Tunnels experience was focused on shopping, which we were not interested in. One of our biggest concerns is that the tour description did not clearly state how long the journey would take from the Cu Chi Tunnels to the Mekong Delta. After visiting Cu Chi, we were surprised to discover that we had to spend nearly THREE HOURS travelling to the Mekong Delta. This is very important information that should be clearly disclosed to travellers before they book. Had we known that the journey from Cu Chi to the Mekong Delta alone would take nearly three hours, in addition to the travel from our hotel to Cu Chi and from the Mekong back to Ho Chi Minh City, we would not have booked this combined tour, especially with elderly members of our family. After such a long journey, we expected the Mekong Delta to be the highlight of the day. Instead, shortly after arriving, we were again taken through a sales experience involving honey and other local products. The sampan boat ride was particularly concerning. In our experience, the boat felt unstable, and I would not recommend this activity for elderly travellers or anyone with mobility or balance issues. Unfortunately, my elderly husband had an accident during this part of the tour, which seriously affected the remainder of our holiday. After the sampan ride, we felt that much of the remaining experience was again focused on selling local products rather than giving us a meaningful opportunity to experience the Mekong Delta. I do want to make it clear that our tour guide did his best for us. Our disappointment is not directed at the guide. He tried to look after our group and make the experience enjoyable. Our problem is with the itinerary, the amount of travelling, the vehicle and the overall tour experience. Travellers should understand just how much time may be spent on the road. From our hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, our travelling time was approximately: • 2 hours from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cu Chi Tunnels • Nearly 3 hours from the Cu Chi Tunnels to the Mekong Delta • Around 2½ hours from the Mekong Delta back to our hotel That is approximately 7½ HOURS OF TRAVELLING IN ONE DAY. Imagine spending that amount of time in a so-called “limousine van,” particularly if you are one of the three people seated across the very back. For us, this was far too much travelling for far too little to actually see and experience. After spending so many hours inside a vehicle, we honestly felt that we could have seen more of the Mekong Delta by watching a good documentary on TV. Other travellers may enjoy this type of tour, but our family definitely did not. There was too much travelling, too much emphasis on shopping and selling products, an uncomfortable vehicle for such long journeys, and not enough worthwhile sightseeing to justify spending so many hours on the road. Most importantly, based on our experience with my husband’s accident, I strongly recommend that elderly travellers carefully consider whether the sampan boat portion is appropriate for them. The nearly three-hour journey between Cu Chi and the Mekong Delta should also be clearly stated in the tour description. Customers need to know how many hours they will actually spend travelling before deciding whether this tour is suitable for them. If we had known beforehand that we would spend approximately 7½ hours travelling, including nearly three hours between Cu Chi and the Mekong Delta, in this type of “limousine” van, we definitely would not have booked this tour.

Phenomenal trip! Extremely informative and got to see really cool areas! Tour guide was excellent! Highly recommend!

We took the private tour for 6 people.Minh was very informative about Vietnamese history. The politics he mentioned was from his perspective and I felt fair. He mentioned foreign U.S. investment was critical. Otherwise, the van was nice and comfortable. We stopped at a place for a bathroom break and to buy some handmade Vietnamese souvenirs. They were beautiful and the workers were very nice. We had lunch at this beautiful restaurant. The Cu Chi tunnel tour was very interesting. It was not that crowded. The next stop was the Mekong Delta. The Sampan tour was the pinnacle experience of the trip. It was so beautiful and everyone in our group were smiling. Afterwards, we had snacks at a restaurant where there was some singing. The ladies were very nice and took pictures with our group. I highly recommend this tour.

Educationional, full of energy, high class transportation, hit all the spots , very well organized. As expected

The visit to Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong is a long day from Ho Chi Min but so worth it. Our guide Vinnie was exceptional and talked to us about much more than we had expected and it was an emotional and educational experience, that I would recommend to anyone. The Cu Chi Tunnels and jungle were filled with the memories of so many millions and Vinnie led us through the area with humility and honesty that as a “Westerner” we did not quite expect. It was humid and the tunnel underground was somewhat claustrophobic, even though they’re widened for tourists. To comprehend what the Vietnamese endured is mind boggling. There is an option to shoot from left over guns, however we chose not to shoot weapons as it felt disrespectful to those who had died. Although the gunshots ringing out throughout our tour were quite jarring. The Mekong was exactly what we expected and then some, and karaoke with Vinnie on the boat across was just an added bonus. I would thoroughly recommend going with VIP and please do request Vinnie.

It was as expected. Shooting AK47 definitely the highlight for me. The tunnel we actually went into are very small and worth doing if you are able. The Mekong was ok but a long drive to and from. Our guide Justin did fine. I give it a solid C score. Very long day in the van!!!

Had a great tour with the best tour guide “Dragon King”. He’s filled with interesting information and deep knowledge of all the important sights. Shared wonderful local stories and background that made the whole experience feel personal, warm, and engaging.

Excellent, highly recommended! Viet is the best guide, very friendly, knowledgeable, funny! We love the small group, there's only 6 of us, the van is very nice and comfy. We like the personal attention and Viet is very liked by the people on places we visit. I also reserved the wrong date but they are very nice to adjust the date for my trip. This is the best company to book your trip!

This was very worth while, a sobering look at the Vietnam was and a great insight into the local people, customs and culture. Back, the Tour Guide was exceptional, great knowledge, very approachable and communicative, and a great sense of humour and willing to share some personal insights which added to the experience.
