The tour was well organized and broken into a small groups. We had 14 people in our group. Our guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and engaging. We especially loved the Colosseum experience. Our guide’s stories about what life would’ve been like and what we would’ve seen when the Colosseum was built were terrific. We ended up going to the Forum first and the Colosseum second, which meant we could not explore the Forum further on our own and didn’t have a chance to see the Palentine Hill. But we were very happy with our overall tour experience.

This was a terrific tour, and our guide Flavia, was exceptionally well-versed in her subject! We learned so many new things about the Colosseum. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone.

This tour was literally the last one we took on a two-week trip, and it ended up being the highlight of our journey. It was a bucket list destination for my wife who has watched more than her share of Colosseum documentaries, and it was totally worth the price. On a busy (Palm) Sunday afternoon, the access the tour provided to this nearly 2000-year-old wonder was incredible. We literally saw the Colosseum top to bottom, or in this case, bottom to top since we started in the underground. While many visitors waited outside for access, we were ushered in and while in the underground, felt at times we had the place to ourselves as there was plenty of separation between groups. That’s saying quite a bit when you’re in a venue as popular as the Colosseum. Our wonderful host, Flavia, an archeology major, was a wealth of knowledge throughout the 3+ hour tour. There were plenty of great vantage points for pictures, you will not be disappointed (check the attached iPhone pics). When we exited the Colosseum, we then toured the adjacent Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum where Flavia continued her expert narration, continually providing information and context. There is quite a bit of walking during this tour, you will hit your 10K steps and then some with gentle climbs and descents. If you really want to see the Colosseum, this tour is worth the money.

Absolutely loved this tour. We did the VIP Colosseum Underground Gladiator Tour. It was wonderful. It was the favorite part of our trip. Our guide was amazing. She was an archeologist who helped excavate the area around the Vestal Virgin area of the Forum. Sorry, I forget her name. Our group was small, my husband and I and another couple. Definitely worth doing in off season. It was so informative and interesting. We visited the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and The Forum. Can’t recommend enough.

It was an okay tour, but for such price you expect more. Our guide seem to be knowledgable. He spoke a lot, but it was not clear, difficult to follow and understand him. When asked a question he did not answer straight a way. He kinda tried to say as much as he could including lots of unnecessary details, always rushed and thus mumbled a lot. We were excited to see the underground, but actually you might not see much by yourself so it depends a lot on the guide what he tells you, and ours did not say much or said unclearly and rushed through underground part. From positive side we were only 7 people in our group, no waiting time. We covered areas as described in a tour. Just for such price we had higher expectations. But I guess it depends a lot on the guide.

So glad I was able to book this tour. Plan ahead as there are a very limited amount of tickets for the underground portion available. And that definitely was an important part to be able to understand the magnitude of the Colosseum. Was then surprised at how much there was to see of Palatine Hill. Didn't realize exactly what the Roman Forum was about so that was a bonus. Learned so much that day. Choose to spend your time and money on experiences rather than random souvenirs. The amazing memories last a lot longer! Our guide was excellent. Can't recall her name but know she was from Australia. She was extremely knowledgeable about Rome and a pleasure to chat with.

Incredible VIP tour! Don’t miss it. No lines and our guide knew everything! Good shoes are a must & there are a good amount of stairs. Lots of walking. They provided an over the ear headset so we didn’t miss a word or questions.

A tour with Coopculture was very disappointing. Instead of the 15 minutes we were told to expect, we waited 45 minutes. The guide was curt and not very clear. She seemed to get annoyed easily and spoke like a recording.
