Such a fun experience. Guide Kathryn and Captain Eythor were great and so full of energy! It was fun to see the beautiful island from the water, see some of the neat caves, see some puffins from afar and get some of the history of the area. Boat was very comfortable. Suits kept us nice and warm. Highly recommend.

It was awesome and we learned so much. Great to get out on the water despite Icelandic weather, and the guides were superb. The boat was fun, but not scary.

We loved the tour with Ribsafari, it was our first trip with the kids to Vestmanneyjar (We live in capital Iceland) and the tour was just what I wanted them to experience. We saw puffins and the Elephant Rock as well as other beautiful scenes. And the kids loved it when the boat went fast - They actually said that was there favourite part :)

We took a 1-hour tour on 9 June. Beautiful sights, plenty of birds, two seals, many puffins flying above us, but on the grass beside their burrows they are hardly visible. Guide Kristin was impressive, she seems to know everything about the islands' history and fauna. And the musical finale at the cave was wonderful. We'll do it again next time.

This is a must do activity for anyone visiting Westman Islands. The RIB boat allowed us to get close to various rock formations and enter 3 caves. In the caves we got to experience the awesome acoustics in the caves with music from the boat. The 1 hour flew by. We also had a superb guide, Amelia, who was cheerful, funny and very knowledgeable.

We are so happy we booked this super fun tour! My two children, 11 and 13 has the best time! Unreal views, burst of speed and a very kind and knowledgeable guide. We learned a ton about the island and its history and got to explore magical caves, stunning backdrops and amazing wildlife.

My friend and I came to Iceland primarily to see puffins. We visited Westman Islands and took the tour on a rainy day, and puffins were scarce because it wasn’t the optimal time of day to see them. But we got so lucky when Sandra was our tour guide! She’s a Heimaey native who told fascinating stories about the history of the island and its people. It also turns out she’s the Puffin Queen! She and her family rescue and care for lost pufflings (fledging chicks), so she knows all about them and told us exactly where to go see them later from land. Her love for the birds and her home island came through clearly. We felt so fortunate to have met her and the boat skipper and the rest for the Ribsafari team, all of whom were kind and gracious. Don’t miss this tour!
