Loved this tour. It's a long day if you have kids - I would see the main buildings of Versailles first and then book the tour for later if you have kids. This is a great option for poor weather as well, we all stayed in the golf carts due to rain and then scorching sun. Karolina was our guide and she was excellent.

We toured the Palace of Versailles with Carolina on the 21st of July, and it was the highlight of our family trip to France. Carolina is especially familiar with Versailles, the palace, and the estate's royal history. If you enjoy a detailed account of Versailles' history, ask for Carolina when booking your tour with Kingtours. She is fluent in English, so communication was flawless. We have toured Versaille once before but this tour was so much better and exceeded all our expectations. The tour was perfect for our family that included some who were active and others who were physically challenged. The tour guide also provided a wealth of great history and amazing information that entertained everyone in our group. Was a perfect combination for everyone in our family.

We had an incredible time on this Versailles tour, and a big part of that was our guide, Carolina. She was kind, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, bringing the history of Versailles to life throughout the day. It was an extremely hot day, but Carolina was very intentional about where we stopped, always making sure our group had plenty of shade whenever possible. Her thoughtfulness and care really stood out and made the tour much more enjoyable. She also timed the day perfectly. She got us to the fountains in time to watch them turn on, which was one of the highlights of the visit. When our group split between those who wanted to bike and those who preferred the shuttle (me), she timed the shuttle perfectly so we arrived at the same time as the cyclists without missing a thing. This tour was well organized, informative, and a fantastic way to experience Versailles. I highly recommend it, and if you're lucky enough to have Carolina as your guide, you're in for an amazing experience. Thank you, Carolina, for your kindness and for making our day so memorable!

Amazing experience going with a Toddler. Our guide Annie was absolutely superb. Our whole group was very satisfied with the tour.

This was a wonderful tour and our guide Annie was amazing. The golf carts around the grounds were deff amazing. Spent too much time at petit Trianon and at lunch as well. That was the only wasted part of the tour. Versailles is deff a must visit !

Was a very hot day and the golf cart tour was very pleasant way to see the area.

We had a wonderful day on our tour. Our fabulous guide, Alois, was so informative, had excellent thorough knowledge of French history and made sure all guests were comfortable and enjoyed the day. I recommend taking up the golf cart and bike option as the grounds are so extensive it would be impossible to tackle on foot. Even with this option there is a fair amount of walking, so be prepared - I completed about 25,000 steps - taking into account walking to and from the train station - which is a good 25 minute walk from the palace. Alois took us to two lovely cafes for breaks - these are not cheap but have a nice choice of fresh salads, quiche, baguettes and patisserie. The option to tour the grounds in the morning then go into the palace in the afternoon without the guide worked well as the heat in the afternoon was unbearable. Be prepared as inside the palace it can get extremely busy and crowded - as to be expected in a major tourist attraction.

We normally don't pay for guided tours and this was well worth the money we invested. The Versailles gardens are enormous and we learned so much and saw so many things we wouldn't ever have gotten to on our own- or heard the backstory on. I highly recommend this tour. There's plenty of time to see the palace afterwards. Alois was a great tour guide who kept us on track so we could see as much as possible while learning a lot along the way about French history. I had heard the gardens were large... They were enormous. We have two teenagers who really enjoyed the entire day as well.
