カシ ヴィシュヴァナート寺院は、シヴァ神を祀る最も有名なヒンズー教寺院の 1 つです。インドのウッタル プラデーシュ州バラナシにあります。この寺院は聖なるガンジス川の西岸に建っており、シヴァ神を祀る最も神聖な 12 のジョティルリンガ寺院の 1 つです。
朝食（各自負担）をとり、10時にバナーラス・ヒンドゥー大学へ向かいます。1916年に設立されたBHUはアジア最大の大学キャンパスです。
サールナートは、インドのウッタル・プラデーシュ州にあるガンジス川とヴァルナ川の合流点近くのバラナシから北東に10キロのところにある場所です。サールナートの鹿公園は、ゴータマ・ブッダが最初に法を説いた場所であり、コンダンナの悟りを通して仏教僧伽が誕生した場所です。
インドのアショーカ王柱は、紀元前 268 年から 232 年の間にマウリヤ朝のアショーカ王がインド亜大陸に建てた建造物です。これらは、インド全土における彼の力強い統治と征服を表しています。柱のほとんどは枯れたり、後の統治者によって破壊されたりしましたが、20 本の柱は今でもインドにそびえ立っています。この柱はインドで知られている最も古い石の経典であり、高度なマウリヤ文明の文化を物語っています。
ダメック ストゥーパはサールナートで最も重要な名所の 1 つです。その主な理由は、その古さと、仏陀が初めて説法を行った場所であるという重要性です。仏陀が涅槃に至る八正道を明らかにしたのはこの地でした。このストゥーパは高さ約 43 メートルの円筒形の塔で構成されており、記念碑の直径はなんと 28 メートルです。記念碑の中央にあるアーチ型の窪みには、かつて仏像が安置されていた可能性があります。記念碑の中央の一部の側面には、美しく精巧な彫刻が施されています。

I had an excellent full-day experience in Varanasi with my guide Vishal from Azaan Travels. He did an amazing job explaining the history, culture, and spiritual atmosphere of the city. His knowledge and friendly personality made the whole day very enjoyable. One of the highlights was riding through the old streets of Varanasi on his scooter, which was such a fun and authentic way to experience the city’s narrow lanes and vibrant local life. It felt like seeing the real Varanasi rather than just the tourist spots. What made the experience truly special was that Vishal kindly invited me to his parents’ home for lunch. His parents were incredibly humble and welcoming, and they prepared a fantastic homemade meal with delicious traditional dishes and sweets. It was a very warm and memorable cultural experience that I will never forget. The boat ride on the Ganges River was also beautiful and peaceful, offering a wonderful view of the famous ghats and the unique atmosphere of the city from the water. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend this tour and especially Vishal as a guide if you want a genuine and memorable visit to Varanasi.

It was a fantastic tour : the guide was very organized and very knowledgeable as well as friendly and had a great sense of humor . I learned so much not only about the history of Varanasi but also at Sarnath the life story of Buddha . Tonight we will attend the Aarti , but the early morning boat ride on the Ganges is not to be missed . I have been to Varanasi many times but never have I learned so much and had such an enjoyable tour . I highly recommend
