The 3-days private Uyuni salt flats tour with Joker Expedition was beyond our expectations! The organization was impeccable especially the lunch and sunset cocktail/snack on the salt flats the first day. They were in stunning sceneries and the settings were amazing! The lunch on the second day was also in an amazing setting overlooking the flamingos in Laguna Hedionda. Joker Expedition prepared all the foods which were so delicious, well presented and with diverse menus. Our tour guide Lillian and driver Sam are all professional, friendly and helpful. Lillian is such a good photographer and videographer, she took lots of great photos and videos for us, which was such a surprising perk :-) Lillian has a cheerful disposition and made the trip pleasant with sometime long drives. Sam is a great driver and we felt safe in the 4WD with his care. Bolivia is a beautiful country and we have seen many very unique and breathtaking landscapes on this trip. I highly recommend Joker Expedition for the 3-days Uyuni Salt Flats tour which was an unforgettable experience and memory for us!!!
We wanted a fully customizable private tour with flexibility of changing itineraries. I contacted a few tour companies and Jose from Joker Expedition was the most responsive, informative and accommodating among all. And that led to our booking with them. They did not disappoint! Our guide Alvaro and driver Cons were amazing! We had all the experiences we wanted (mirror effect, sunrise, sunset, stargazing, visiting the island, train cemetery, Thunupa volcano, and of course, the perspective shots), and with his experience, Al made a few good calls that helped us experience these in the best conditions (he would observe the clouds and suggest us to see the sunset in the water). On the first day of stargazing, we spent too much time locating the water and by the time we got there it was already not dark enough to see the Milky Way at its best. After Al and Jose communicated, Jose generously offered us a second stargazing day at no additional cost. This exceeded our expectations and we really appreciated Jose’s and team’s understanding. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our trip and we’d planned to come back even before the end of the trip. Bolivia is a beautiful country and one that’s been somewhat an underdog partly due to their government not paying enough attention to the tourism. Nonetheless there are so many more places to visit beyond Uyuni which is already among the most magic places you could go to.
