The boat didn't circumnavigate Martillo Island and because of this we only saw Magellanic Penguins.
Papua and king penguins were on the other side of the island and the company refused to let the passage see them althoug it was included in the program of the activity.

Dear customer, I am sorry that you did not enjoy the tour. But going around the island exclusively depends on the tide. The captain is who determines if it safe or not. In any case the different species are seen all over the island but sometimes they move from one place to the other.
If the tide and the weather are right the boat turns around the whole island.

Smooth sailing
The voyage was quite comfortable and exciting. We had ample time to enjoying watching and photographing the comorants, sea lions and penguins as well as the lighthouse. During the cruising time from one viewing area to the next, the indoor cabins were a welcomed relief from the cold. The guide was very personable and took the time to answer questions from the guests.
