We detest! Poorly prepared guide... terrible wines! I do not recommend!
We took the tour through the Lucas Carvalho agency, where the Undurraga winery was, which I liked, even though it was a very simple tour. Pablo Neruda's house is horrible, the tour is boring, just going to see the house from afar in the middle of the ground, very bad indeed. And then going to the giant pool, beautiful, but it's just to enjoy the view and have lunch at a super crowded restaurant that is very disorganized and only has one bathroom to serve a lot of people.
The visit was amazing, the guide of the vineyard very attentive and helpful. At the end we had the tasting of 4 wines. It's worth it!
Small winery, but a grateful surprise. The place is beautiful, the guide very friendly and experienced, we tried 5 wines, one white, 2 tints, 1 late harvest and a sparkling! We like to be more intimate, cozy and more generous.:) We also visited a small museum with the personal collection of the owner of the vineyard.
Fernanda is the best guide, and the wines are delicious 👏
The vineyard is too beautiful, one of the oldest. The guide who attended was Emiliano, super friendly and guided us in a joyful, relaxed way and telling the whole story in the smallest details. Although he did not speak Portuguese, his Spanish was easy to understand. The museum of the Mapuche people that is inside the vineyard is also a surprise part, who likes history, will definitely love. Our choice for this particular vineyard was to serve juice for those who do not want to consume alcohol at the tasting. It is very worth it for those who are starting m family and with minors. They still get a nice kick.
Experience of knowing the facilities of one of the oldest and most traditional wineries in Chile. Beautiful place, well arranged, impeccably well taken care of. We walked through the entire facility, saw the grape groves, art objects of the Chilean people, Indians, we walked through the underground of the Vinícola, storage of wine barrels, etc. The summit of the tour is pro final when we participated in a tasting of various labels, all very well presented and explained by the guide that accompanies us throughout the tour. At the end we passed the shop of the Vinícola to buy the copies that were tasted at a camara price.
Bad experience. We got there, they said we hadn't booked, and we had the voucher. Poorly educated people, who were not willing to pay attention to us to buy products from the store, which only increased the disaster of the experience. I've been to several wineries, and I don't recommend this one.
Foi ótima a visita na vincula ...
Undurraga was our final winery stop of the day in the Maipo Valley, and it was certainly the largest and most modern facility we visited. The scale of the winery is impressive and gives you a real sense of how large wine production can be in Chile. Our guide, Fernanda, did a wonderful job leading the tour. She took us into the vineyards and explained which grape varieties are grown on-site versus which are sourced from other regions. It was fascinating to learn how strategic the winery is about matching grapes to the most ideal growing conditions across Chile. One of the highlights was visiting the cellar, which was expansive and atmospheric. The winery also includes a Maipo Valley history center, which added interesting context about the region’s winemaking traditions. The tour concluded with a tasting of six wines, which was a great opportunity to explore the range of wines Undurraga produces. While the experience was impressive overall, the tour felt a bit longer than necessary at times. Personally, we would have enjoyed a slightly shorter tour with more time to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, purchase a bottle, and mingle with other guests. The tasting itself was enjoyable, but the pacing made the experience feel somewhat drawn out. That said, it is still a very worthwhile stop, especially if you are interested in seeing a large, historic winery and learning about wine production at scale in Chile.
