ティラスポリは認められた国の首都ではない。 モルドバに位置する自称・未承認の脱北者地域である沿ドニエストル共和国の最大都市であり、DEの首都でもある。 沿ドニエストル共和国は1990年に独立を宣言し、独自の政府・軍事・通貨を有する一方、自国領として領有権を主張するモルドバを含む国際連合加盟国からは主権国家として認められていない。
ソ連におけるストロフカとは、労働者や学生、一般市民に食事を提供する、質素で安価な食堂やカフェテリアを指した。 ティラスポリでは、他のソ連の都市と同様に、ソ連時代にはストロフカは日常生活に欠かせないものであった。 これらの食堂は、フリルのない環境と標準化されたメニュー、そして大勢の人に素早くサービスを提供することを目指した効率的なサービスで知られていた。 典型的なストロフカ大気 インテリア : 共同の長いテーブル、木製または金属製の椅子、ミニマルなデザインなど、内装はベーシックでした。 壁は中性色で塗られることが多く、装飾にソ連のポスターや生産性と統一に関するスローガンが含まれている場合もあった。 Self-Service : ほとんどのストロフカはセルフサービスモデルで運用された。 パトロンは盆を掴んで金属や木製のカウンターに沿ってスライドさせ、ガラスのパネルの向こうに飾られた皿を拾う。
自称プリドニエストル・モルダヴィア共和国（沿ドニエストル共和国）の首都ティラスポリにある戦車記念碑は、市内で最も認識できるランドマークの一つである。 台座に取り付けられた第二次世界大戦期のソ連製T-34戦車を特色としており、第二次世界大戦中に戦って戦死したソ連兵の慰霊碑となっている。 記念碑はナチス・ドイツの敗北に貢献した人々への市の感謝を象徴し、1944年4月のソ連軍によるティラスポリ解放を記念するものである。
ティラスポリのスヴォーロフ記念碑は、1792年にティラスポリを建国したロシアの伝説的武将アレクサンドル・スヴォーロフを記念するもので、街の最も象徴的なランドマークの1つです。
クリスマス大聖堂（クリスマスだいせいどう、）は、キリスト降誕大聖堂とも呼ばれ、沿ドニエストル共和国の首都ティラスポリにある正教会の教会で、最大かつ最も重要なものである。 この壮麗な建造物は、この街の宗教的、建築的、文化的ランドマークとして機能し、地元住民のキリスト教正教信仰の根深さを象徴している。
沿ドニエストル共和国の行政の中心であるティラスポリのソビエト住宅は、この地域の政府の本部として機能する堂々とした建造物である。 ソ連時代に建設されたこの建物は、スターリン主義と社会主義リアリズム建築の顕著な例であり、ソ連の過去とこの街の深いつながりを反映している。 建物自体は非公開だが、外観とレーニン像はティラスポリを散策する観光客に人気の撮影スポットとなっている。 建物の前の広場は、街を歩くツアーの鍵となる場所で、ソ連時代に時間が凍りついたような場所の雰囲気を体験できる絶好の機会です。

I enjoyed this tour with Marcel. There were 3 of us on the tour so it felt small and personalised. We visited a market, an antique shop and walked around the centre, as well as having lunch and finishing off at Bender Fortress. It was such an interesting place, just like stepping back in time, and we felt safe the whole time. Would recommend.

Truly an unforgettable experience, our favourite thing we did in Moldova. Our guide Natalia was truly amazing, she made us feel like family and her knowledge was invaluable. Spent a very memorable day with Mrs. Diana in Pridnestrovie. She is an excellent guide with a great command of English and a wonderful sense of humor. She escorted through the passport formalities and then took us through 500+ years of history during our action packed day. I had good communication with the agency prior to the day of the tour. They picked me up on time and were very friendly. We made it to the border in an hour and explored several places in Transnistria. I was pleasantly surprised by the great sites we saw and learned a lot about its history. It was a great trip with a great meal and I would highly suggested. Make sure you bring your passport and some money to convert to their local currency. Also a tip try to get the plastic coins. They make for great souvenirs

We traveled with Marcel and enjoyed an extraordinary day in Transnistrien. The region is totally safe and we loved the travel back to the Soviet Era. Marcel has a broad knowledge and enriched us with it. This trip is a must in Moldova - don't miss it out!
Given that the whole world says do not go to Transnistria we were a little apprehensive but as we went through the Berlin Wall into Communist DDR in 1988 we decided that it would be fine. How right we were! This was the best day trip in living memory. Booking with Lilya was both courteous and efficient and our guide Marcel was a fantastic person with a great knowledge of the history and culture of this beautiful country - Moldova. As for Transnistria - for us to return to a place not ruled by the internet and the motor car was like stepping back in time to our youth. Thank goodness we didn’t listen to our Government’s Travel Advice as if we had we would have missed out on one of life’s truly memorable experiences. How else can one ever visit a country that does not exist?! “We make cognac not war” (the motto of Transnistria) is certainly one that I subscribe to.
