It was a unique experience! I am so glad to have taken this cooking class. The driver Penda was very accommodating and polite. The cook Iyaloo was also very nice and told us a lot about the food, her culture, and her language while cooking. I felt very comfortable the whole time and ate very, very delicious food! The mopane worms are a real delicacy and you should really try them on your trip to Namibia!

In itself a great event, for which I would give 5 stars. Since the organizer also offers the option for vegetarians, I registered 2 people as vegetarians. Unfortunately, the food selection for vegetarians was the same as for the others, only the meat part was left out and it was therefore much too little overall. Also, the price-performance ratio did not fit at all, meaning much too expensive. The provider should not offer a vegetarian option or, if so, a well-thought-out one for vegetarians. Therefore only 3 stars

This experience was so fun! Renee was so kind and welcoming and enthusiastic. She not only did a great job instructing us through cooking porridge, spinach, fish, pork knuckles and worms (!), but she was also so informative about Namibian culture and lifestyle. She was a pleasure to chat with and so genuinely interested in getting to know us and our culture better. Highly recommend for a truly local experience in a new restaurant that her and her sister are so proud of (rightfully!)

I loved that the cooking was hands on. We all got to chop and stir while learning about the different meats and spices.

Amazing experience! Renee did a great job of explaining all the different ingredients and dishes we made. Everything was very well organized and clean. This is a hands on cooking experience and one I will remember. One of the highlights of my Namibia journey. Thank you!

Wonderful experience at Iyaloo's Delicacy. Local food in a local setting. The instructor, Iyaloo, was a fantastic host and cook. 10/10 recommend.

This experience was magical. It was far better than I expected. The space was clean and safe. The food was delicious which was a surprise as it included things I had never tried before. Our host was a delight. She was generous with her knowledge and introduced us to some locals who joined us and gave a short local language lesson with plenty of laughter. Would highly recommend.
