1940年のポルトガル万国博覧会のために建てられたこの庭園には、ポルトガル帝国の旧州を表す32の紋章が飾られている。
この記念碑は、ポルトガル航海の重要人物として知られるインファンテ・ドン・エンリケの死後 500 年を記念して 1960 年に建てられました。この記念碑には、ポルトガル文化の世界的な普及に貢献した大航海時代の他の重要人物も描かれています。

We had a wonderful time touring with Federico! His knowledge of culture and history was truly amazing. We love a good history tour and this did not disappoint. Be prepared to walk as the tower is a distance from the monastery. But, you will have just enjoyed a pastry to fuel you for the trek. Enjoy!
Excellent tour!!! Federico was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém area. Fascinating insights into the region's importance during Portugal's early maritime exploration and conquest, as well as its significance in the 19th/20th century. The included pastel de Belém snack midway through the tour was a delightful treat. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting these landmarks in Belém!

Luis was a wonderful guide and the monastery and nearby navigation monument and Torre de Belem provide a nice overview of modern Portuguese history. Lovely views and tasty tarts make this a wonderful tour.
This walking tour was fantastic! We got to explore the monastery and enjoy some delicious pastel de nata afterwards. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about history. He kept a great pace throughout the tour and encouraged questions, which made the experience even more engaging. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!
