アフタラ修道院は、アルメニア北部にある10世紀のアルメニアの要塞修道院。 ビザンチン様式の見事なフレスコ画で有名で、深い渓谷に囲まれた岩だらけの丘の上にあります。 この複合施設はアルメニア、グルジア、ギリシャの影響が混ざり合い、かつては宗教と軍事の両方の目的を果たしていた。

サナヒン修道院（サナヒンしゅうどういん、）は、アルメニアのローリ県アラベルディ近郊のサナヒン村にある10世紀のアルメニア修道院複合体。 928年から944年の間に設立され、啓蒙家や書家の学校で有名な、著名な学問の中心地となった。 複合施設には、いくつかの教会、スクリプトリアム、図書館、鐘楼などがあり、いずれもアルメニア中世建築を例示している。 1996年、サナヒンは近隣のハグパット修道院とともに、その卓越した普遍的価値が認められ、ユネスコの世界遺産に登録された。
ミコヤン兄弟博物館（ミコヤンきょうだいはくぶつかん、）は、アルメニアのアラベルディ近郊のサナヒン村にある、ソビエト連邦のアルメニア人著名人2人を顕彰する博物館である。 MiG戦闘機の共同設計者であるアナスタス・ミコヤンと、その兄で長くソ連の政治家を務めたアルテム・ミコヤン。 1982年に設立されたこの博物館は、個人の遺物、写真、彼らの生涯と貢献を詳細に記した文書などを展示している。 特筆すべきは、コンクリートの天蓋を掃き出した下の屋外に、フルサイズのMiG-21ジェット機が展示されていることだ。 ユネスコに登録されたサナヒン修道院のすぐ近くにあるこの博物館では、ソ連の歴史とアルメニアの遺産について知ることができます

It was an amazing experience and 1 day trip. The guide, Temur, was great, talkative, full of facts about the history, relations etc., funny and made this trip unforgettable. My son and I had an enjoyable time, my son was too shy to ask him about the facts, but Temur made him feel relaxed ;)

We were given an excellent day out in Armenia with delicious food organised and beautiful monasteries to visit. The guide was well informed and arranged the border crossing efficiently.
Been through all the promised sites. Guide could tell well and a lot and spoke good English. Plenty of time to take your own photos and look around
