The visit to the Necropolis of Tarquinia was extremely interesting and engaging. I immediately inform future visitors about parking: The signage indicates a rate of €1 per hour, but there is also a daily ticket for €3 valid throughout Tarquinia (Recommended Choice). Unfortunately, this information is not obvious, and we discovered it only after paying more than necessary. In the Necropolis, it is possible to visit numerous Etruscan tombs, some truly wonderful, with frescoes still very vivid and rich in colors, capable of conveying all the extraordinary beauty of this ancient civilization. I particularly appreciated the presence of the free audio guide included in the ticket: it is easy to use, allows you to select individual tombs of interest, and offers clear and concise explanations, generally lasting one or two minutes. Additionally, it is available in several languages, making the visit accessible to everyone. The map provided at the entrance is also very useful, allowing visitors to follow the recommended route or freely choose the stops to visit. An additional value is represented by the fact that the ticket also includes entry to the National Archaeological Museum of Tarquinia.

Very fine and knowledgeable guide. Gave a lot of space to ask questions and also knew the answer to all questions. She was very knowledgeable. Always consulted with us about the options during the tour and gave us a choice. Gave suggestions at the end of the tour what to do in the town. All in all an absolute must!

Looking for something different to do while in the Rome area this would be it. Didn’t even know the catacombs in Tarquinia existed. Combined with a museum visit was a great way to spend a few hours.

Very complete private tour guide with a very friendly and pedagogue guide. In 3 hours very nice introduction to Etruscan culture in an enchanting setting.

Definitely worth visiting the site and museum. We booked a private two hour tour about the site and museum and the tour guide that we had was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of everything and spoke good English. I would definitely recommend seeing both places and doing it with a personalized tour guide. Well worth the extra money.

We spent an amazing 3 hours with our guide Serena Paolini. Her knowledge was detailed and extensive. We saw a fabulous range of tombs in the Necropolis - as well as a tour of the museum in Tarquinia set in the grounds of a palace. It was beautifully presented! We would thoroughly recommend this tour as well as spending time in the medieval town of Tarquinia itself. Excellent value for money and a lovely personalised experience

Serena was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The Etruscan tombs are incredible but be prepared to navigate short lengths of steep Steps up and down to see them.

Our Guide Serena Paolini was very good. Very prepared, she guided us to discover the secrets of the necropolis of Tarquinia with lightness and extreme competence. Time flew immersed in the past that came alive as we passed thanks to the stories of our Guide. At Palazzo Vitelleschi the magic was repeated and Serena was even more engaging.

Well-kept and truly extraordinary archaeological site for the uniqueness of the finds. Museum in period location and with breathtaking views from the top floor. We knew that in July it would be very hot and actually the site is all under the sun. The bookshop is missing, I wondered how it is possible!
