We had a wonderful food and wine tour around Taormina with Alessandro. After some travel complications, we were very grateful to be able to join the tour a little late. Alessandro was incredibly welcoming when we arrived and immediately made us feel part of the group. Walking through the beautiful streets of Taormina and visiting local specialty shops was such a lovely way to experience the town. There was an abundance of food, with a great variety of local specialties to taste, along with some lovely Sicilian wines. It was a delicious and very enjoyable way to discover more of Taormina and its local flavours.
This was a lovely way to experience Taormina for our first full day here. Mariella our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a real flare to the tour, and at the end shared local knowledge which has come in handy for the rest of our stay. The scenery of Taormina speaks for itself you just have to come an experience it, lastly the food on this tour was exactly what I was looking for local, authentic, filling and heavenly.
Alessandro was so pleasant, knowledgeable and patient (with my questions!). It was a great way to see and taste Taormina with culture and heritage thrown in for free. A very enjoyable early evening stroll through Taormina in the late August heat.
Alessandro was an excellent guide. The food was delicious! Highly recommend as a great way to sample the local food and get an introduction to the amazing city of Taormina and “all things” Sicily.
This tour completely lived up to expectations and the description on TripAdvisor. Our guide, Alessandro was knowledgeable about Taormina and our food and wine experience, and an engaging conversationalist (in fluent English). The totality of the street food on our four stops was, indeed, equivalent to a full meal, including an informative stop at a wine bar, and mostly off of the crowded Corso Umberto. Well deserved five stars.
We really enjoyed the tour: nice examples of Sicilian food and great insight to the history of Taormina. English was excellent. The last stop for Canole was awesome. he took us into the kitchen and we were able to make our one Canole.
Simona and Alesandro were amazing guides! We had spectacular food, great information about Italian foods and traditions and wonderful conversation! My favorite part was making the cannoli with Roberto at Roberto’s! Highly recommend!
We met guide and walked first to get arancini. We had better arancini on our own earlier in the day. Then we went to a small place with meats and cheeses for a wine tasting. That was nice. Then we went for street pizza Sicilian style with anchovies and pesto. Finally ended with a delicious cannoli, limoncello and some candy. The tour was just the two of us- not planned that way. Tour guide was nice 😊

Adele gave a great insight into history of Taormina, aswell as the food where and when it was originated. Overall great tour we all enjoyed it.
