最初のフードストップでは、アポロ神殿の歴史的な雰囲気に囲まれながら、地元の最も本格的な屋台料理に飛び込んでいきます。 肉、調理済みのハム、ほうれん草、ピスタチオ、オーベルジンなど、さまざまな具材を黄金色に揚げた、シチリアの伝統の味を存分に味わえる世界的に有名なおにぎり、アランチーニを堪能しましょう。 夏には、その日に獲れた新鮮な魚を詰め込んだフィッシュコーンのフライも楽しめます。 アポロ神殿の古代の柱を背景に、オルティギアの街並みが活き活きと賑やかに彩るなか、これらの特産品を味わうことは、歴史、文化、風味の完璧な融合となります。
次は、伝統的な職人技であるシチリアのインパナータを試食します。 この楕円形の黄金色のカルツォーネにはトマトソース、野菜、肉、チーズ、ジャガイモ、ソーセージ、さらにはエビやブラックオリーブがたっぷり入り、大胆な風味が豊かに広がります。 歴史的な宮殿の壮麗さと地元の人々や訪問者の活気に満ちたエネルギーに囲まれたアルキメーデ広場で楽しむと、このテイスティングは食事以上のものとなり、シラクサの料理と文化の真の心の味になります。
その後、地元の食材を味わいに行きます。地元産のチーズや塩漬け肉を添えたパニネッティの試食を含む、シラキュースの古代市場のツアーに参加します。
また、シラキュースの歴史的中心部では、地元の爽やかなデザートもお召し上がりいただけます。 夏の暑い午後のリラックス＆クールダウンにぴったりなシチリアグラニータ。 グラスに盛り付けられ、シンプルでありながら新鮮なフルーツ、砂糖、氷が信じられないほどにおいしいこのミックスは、豊かな食事を高音で締めくくるのに最適です。 その隣にはシチリアのカンノーリが並び、伝統的にホットメタルバーの周りに成形されたサクサクしたウエハースに、甘くクリーミーなリコッタが詰め込まれ、砂糖漬けのフルーツやカリカリのピスタチオ、ダークチョコレートチップスなどを添えていることが多い。 活気ある通りと歴史的建造物に囲まれ、これらのデザートを味わうことは、シチリアの生活の本質を捉えたカラフルで贅沢な体験になります。

Brenda was a wonderful guide! She’s very knowledgeable on the history of Ortigia which we loved learning about. Ortigia is one of the most beautiful places we’ve visited in Europe and Brenda made it a very enjoyable tour for my family.
This was a fantastic experience - Giuseppe was a brilliant guide to Ortigia and his passion for the city and Sicily made it special. Every food stop involved something we loved but wouldn’t have tried if we were just wandering tourists. It had made us enjoy the rest of the trip more as we have been bolder in exploring the island.
Maria is a local with so much local knowledge and spirit it was a charming deep dive into both the recent and ancient history of the tiny island. She steered us to the best food and neighborhoods. She is a delight!!!
Excellent Ortigia food tour, great variety of foods, best Panini we've ever had! It wasn't just a food tour, it was also a walking tour of the town, with information about so many local sites. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, thank you IRYNA!! Highly recommend!!
Brenda was a superb guide! Very friendly and easy to chat with. My 23 year old daughter and I really loved the tour! Aside from tasting fabulous food, we also really enjoyed how Brenda shared information throughout the tour. She’s got a fantastic knowledge of the history of the area, and shares it in a great way.. just the right amount of info so you are not deluged with too many details but you get a good understanding of key highlights. This food tasting tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Ortigia. Thank you!

Giuseppe was a fantastic host for this food tour. Come hungry, the food offerings were excellent and plentiful with funs bits of information and history along the way. A great way to explore Ortigia with a fun guide who always carried a smile. Don't forget to come hungry! Highly recommend.
Our tour with Giuseppe was fantastic! We walked around in the heart of Ortigia, learning about the history of the place, eating the delicious local food and sampling some wine as we went! There were savoury and sweet stops on our tour which were perfectly timed and all the flavours were so fresh and delicious- it was the best way to spend the day exploring a new city! Giuseppe also gave us local tips for things to do, other foods to eat and restaurants to visit! Thanks so much!
Giuseppe was amazing! He is clearly passionate and excited to share Syracuse and Ortigia! Our group moved easily through the streets and all was set up for us at our stops. This tour would not have been the same with a different guide! I would absolutely have another tour with him on our next trip to the area!
