We had a party of 6, 3 adults and 3 kids and we had such a wonderful time! Even though part of the view was obstructed by the smoke from the fires in Canada, it was still a beautiful ride out on the water. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and kind and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Would do it again for sure! It was our first time in MI and we can’t wait to go back.

The boat captain, Jack, and assistant did a great job! Unfortunately we didn’t have the boat we booked so our toddler and parents didn’t feel like the ferry boat was safe for them. Both men were available for questions but there was no narration during the excursion. The trip was scheduled for 2 hrs and ours lasted 90 mins.

We offer both a narrated Guided Sightseeing Cruise from 2:30-4:30 and a Sunset Cruise 90 minutes before sunset with no narration. In addition to being moved to the smaller boat, you also ended up on the Sunset Cruise and not the narrated cruise -- please accept our sincerest apologies. While we've made every effort to communicate these changes before guests arrive, we recognize that our message hasn't always reached everyone as clearly as it should. We're truly sorry that this was your experience. We would love the chance to welcome you back aboard The Discovery to create the memorable outing you were expecting.
Different boat than expected … thought I booked with tour commentary… check to make sure what you booked

Although we sent emails and did our best to contact passengers by phone, we realize that some may not have received the message that our boat The Discovery was out for upgrades and was replaced by the Miss Lauren. For that we are very sorry and wish we could make it up to you. We offer two cruises each day: the Guided Sightseeing Cruise is narrated and the Sunset Cruise is not. We hope you can accept our sincere apologies and visit us another time when The Discovery is back in operation.
The Lauren was not the same as the boat I purchased tickets for and not a good substitute. It was not even narrated.
We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our service. We offer two cruises each day and one is narrated (The Guided Bay Cruise) and the other is not narrated (The Sunset Cruise). We sincerely hope you will join us on the Guided Bay Cruise on The Discovery when she is back in operation. Please accept our apologies for the confusion.
A nice boat with all the essentials, and a crew that will make sure you get the most beautiful views. They were careful to make sure the trip was safe due to weather, and when it needed to be cut short due to lightning they provided a refund on the time missed without us asking!!
