Sara is an amazing tour guide! She explained all the art pieces and told us about the artists we saw on the tour. We had ample time to take pictures. She showed us places that I would not have thought to go to on my own. I highly recommend this tour! Thank you Sara!

What an incredible and unforgettable time we spent walking around Xochimilco and Jalatlaco neighborhoods with the kindest, most gifted and interesting artist and educator Sara. Her tour included sweet and thoughtful details, like her generous offer of agave and cicada linoleum cut outs, which we used to make beautiful prints on a quiet square. Her own murals are stunning and hearing her speak about these was an absolute highlight; we’ve even returned various times. We also enjoyed the visits she arranged with a local weaving family (with the 99 year old patriarch proudly receiving us) and tin artist family. Highly recommend!

Sara was an amazing guide, she spoke clearly and knowledgeably about the meaning of the artwork throughout town. She showed us a couple of her pieces as well as several of the more popular ones among Oaxacans. We loved experiencing this aspect of the city.

Our street our tour in Oaxaca with Sara was one of our favorite tours we have ever taken! It was the perfect amount of time to see tons of art throughout the city (including some of Sara’s own pieces, which was incredibly cool) and we got to discover neighborhoods we would not have otherwise found. We ended the tour at a cool artist co-op where we were able to purchase a few items from some of the artists we had seen on the tour. This tour was worth the price 10 times over and we would recommend it to anyone traveling to Oaxaca.

Sara was a fantastic guide for this experience being an artist herself. I learned so much more than if I just walked by myself. I even got to make some art. Sara also is from the neighborhood so she was able to layer on the history of the area. Thank you Sara for a great afternoon.

This was a very interesting walk through two neighborhoods in Oaxaca, both off the main tourist corridors, to learn about their many murals. The leader, Sara, is herself a local artist and very knowledgeable about the art and the larger historical and social contexts of the works (a few were works of her own). It’s also a great introduction to the two neighborhoods, Xochimilco and Jalatlaco, and their history and contemporary challenges. Highly recommended.

This tour was amazing. We absolutely loved the murals and art, but Sarah was what made the tour so great. She was so knowledgeable about the art, the artists, the meaning behind the murals, the culture, and the history. We stopped at a park and she even taught us how to block print. And we got to take ours home. It was an extra surprise to get to see some of her murals and block prints in the tour! Highly recommend this tour! We had a great time!

Sara was an amazing guide, hugely knowledgeable and passionate about Oaxaca and the art. Her own art is amazing and I would urge anyone to do this tour and see Oaxaca at its best

Great mural walk through Xochimilco including visit to tin and weaver workshops, and then the beautiful murals of Jalatlaco. Sara was accommodating, knowledgeable and very pleasant!

Sarah was delightful, interesting, and a brilliant artist! The tour was interesting, not too much walking, and there was a fun interactive activity illustrating a printing process.
