A little disappointed for the amount of money I paid and then also having to buy food at the restaurant.
The ride itself was ok, but there were no other people on the ride which was very disappointing, I hope to meet a few people. The first place we stopped we ordered pizza which was fine but with only 2 of us, we didn't want to stay that long. We were suppose to stop at another restaurant but for a 2 hour ride more food was not necessary, and we finished a half hour early. I think there should be no ride with less than at least 4 people and one food stop is enough. Maybe a few stores to get out a view a few sites would make more sense. I would give the ride a 6/10, the driver was good.

Hi Kelly! Thank you for your feedback. It is extremely rare for us to NOT get 5 stars, so I wanted to address your comments carefully so there is no confusion.
We only earn $50/person for a 2.5 hr solar powered food & drink experience. We pay our drivers $20/hr and it takes them 4 hrs + wear & tear on the bike, so earning $100 basically puts us at a break even/loss position. We could definitely NOT afford to provide food & drinks INCLUDED at 3 different restaurant/pub stops for 2 people included in this $100.
Unfortunately, we cannot control how many people book the exact time slot that you book.
We just have small portions like a pizza slice, salad, calamari, mussels, etc. (mostly appetisers) at our stops with the 3rd stop being the brewery. There are no big meals that are discounted for our riders - just small portions. But this IS a "food & drink" experience". We make that prominent in the title of the excursion so that people know EXACTLY what to expect - namely FOOD & DRINK.
We simply cannot change the nature of the tour to less food & drink, when it is the most prominent part of the tour, which is also supplemented with tour commentary, sights & music along the way.
I do hope you understand why this has to be the case & also why we have no control over the amount of people on your specific tour. I don't think you would have been happy if we cancelled your tour shortly before it took place to say that there were not more people. You planned your vacation activities around this excursion and we actually LOSE money taking just 2 people on this tour, but we do it because we want our passengers to know that we are going above & beyond to deliver the experience they signed up for ¬t cancel on them. :)
The entire tour is 2.5 hours, which includes the 3 restaurant stops, so you would have arrived at the last stop 30 min before the end of the tour, but we DO include the time at the stops within that 2.5 hours.
We also include some sight-seeing at the ferry terminal with the stairs to the water & the glass monument.

Exceptional Experience
I recommend this activity 100%!
What a beautiful experience! We were a group of 22 people and had reserved two bikes. This outing was one of the best activities of our 12-day trip.
A huge thank you to Stéphanie and Leith, our bike drivers, who helped make this afternoon a memorable moment for the whole group. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, patience, and good humor greatly enriched our experience.
Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. We would also like to warmly thank Mr. Arnold, who orchestrated our reservation with efficiency and attention, thus ensuring the smooth running of this activity.
An original, pleasant experience perfectly suited for groups. I recommend it without the slightest hesitation! 🚲👏

Never again, waste of money and valuable vacation time- food was MEH!
Firstly I should preface this with the fact that in Nova Scotia you can't ride the bike with any alcoholic drinks. For us from Ontario that was a bit misleading and we were surprised when we started the tour to find this out however it's their law so what can you do. In addition, they have you stop at 3 restaurants with the expectation that you buy food & drinks (which again you can't take with you). That would be fine except the menu's offered at the stops (while discounted a small bit) left a lot to be desired. We were ushered into 3 places and the food being served was not great. So for us we were not happy with the destinations provided. The driver was a nice kid but when we didn't want to go to the third restaurant (based on our lack of enjoyment on the previous 2) we bailed and he never sent us the photo's that he took which were suppose to be shared with us for the memories of this tour. So I would say, if you want to go to 3 restaurants on vacation (approximately 2-3 hours) that are mediocre at best, buy food that is also mediocre and then have the electric bike kick in and not the peddling then this tour is for you.

Hi Patricia - thank you for your review. This is the first negative review we have received in quite some time. Nowhere in our listing do we say that alcohol is allowed on the bike.
Yes, this is called a "FOOD & DRINK TOUR" so it is heavy on the food & drinks at the stops. We don't hide this. We have rave reviews about all our stops as they are some of the best in downtown Halifax: Sapori Italian Street Food, Seaport Social @ the prestigous Westin Hotel & Garrison Brewing Co - our local brewery.
Pedaling is certainly optional, but many people can't or don't want to pedal the whole time, so we do have the electric motor do some work when necessary.
Sorry that this tour did not meet your expectations, but we DO try to be upfront before people book so they know exactly what they are getting with the food & drink tour.
I will note that you received these tickets at HALF price, asked me BEFORE the tour where the stops were and then tried to CANCEL your tour just hours before the tour took place, which unfortunately we cannot do.

Someone needs a promotion!
Captain Steph did an excellent job. She really knew how to throw a great party! She knew some of the best spots for food and drinks. Great photos and memories to be had, highly recommended!

This was a blast! 3 stops and easy peddling. Tunes cranked and good vibes. Steph our guide was excellent.

A fun way to see the city!
We had a blast! Great way to see the city, learn about the history and try some local food and drinks. Our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable and played great music!

Good times but different than we expected
Our group had a fun experience on this Tour but were surprised by a couple of things I want to make sure others do know. In Halifax the city does not allow you to have alcoholic beverages in the solar bike itself so the adult beverage portion we were expecting all took place at a couple of different local establishments. We were kind of expecting that we'd be able to ride and tour more of the city but we really only covered a few blocks of the city and spent the rest of the time at a waterfront bar/restaurant and a hotel bar/restaurant a couple of blocks away from the port. We still had a good time but wanted to share this detail we thought might be helpful to others.

Fun experience
It was fun and you can petal if you want. It is electric so it’s your choice. If full some seats don’t have petals. You can not drink while on the vehicle.

Sooo fun with Leaf
Was so fun, Leaf our guide was so kind and full of information. The stops were just the right amount of time and each very different. 4 of us 60 years old and decided it was our favorite excursion of the trip. One note - they can’t serve drinks outside in Halifax, but we got great drinks AND food at each stop!
