I took this day tour with Luca as a guide. He was very helpful and ready to answer any questions or queries. He made me taste calmly this part of the island showing me more or less famous places and leaving me time to observe the animals in their natural habitat. We stopped to drink a cup of coffee prepared with mocha in front of the ocean waves, watched the koalas sleeping on the plants and the kangaroos grazing the grass. At Seal Bay we went down to the beach being lucky enough to hear and see the sea lions calling each other and coming in and out of the water while a mother nursed her cub in the shade. A stop for lunch with a barbecue in nature surrounded only by the noise of the wind among the leaves. We then ended the day in Stokes Bay which opened to the view after a short hidden path among the rocks and gave me a wonderful sunset. Luca is an absolutely recommended guide and will make you appreciate the island in all its nuances!

An unforgettable experience. Wonderful places, in Seal Bay among the sea lions we cried with emotion. A special mention for Nikki Redman. An exceptional guide with a rare island relationship and nature culture. Happy also to have contributed to the collection of rubbish that some nice leaves around. It will stick with us for the rest of our days.

Let me start by saying that Luca and Nikki were incredible guides. My husband and I spent 2 days on Kangaroo Island but only for the first we had a booked tour (Seal Bay). When Luca came to pick us up we found out that we would be the 2 of us the only guests on the tour and having Luca as an exclusive guide was really a great opportunity! He took us around the island.to see kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, sea lions and echidnas. Also when he learned that the next day we would still spend it on the island but without plans (in winter the island is deserted and many businesses are closed), first he helped us contact the travel agency to see if we could return earlier. In Adelaide, when we later realized that transport did not allow it he proposed to join at a discounted price the 4 Spaniards who the next day would do the tour of Flinders Chase with his colleague Nikki. Nikki was incredibly welcoming and both she and Luca taught us a lot about the flora and fauna of the island. Tours include a breakfast and lunch prepared by Luca at the barbecue areas available on the island. For us the experience was amazing and we highly recommend it to those passing by KI. Thank you so much Luca and Nikki because you made us spend 2 beautiful days and this experience we will take with us forever (especially petting a small joey). You were truly two incredible guides!

During our honeymoon in Australia, we had the pleasure of visiting Kangaroo Island together with Luca, our guide. Luca took us to the most beautiful and characteristic places of the island, telling us interesting curiosities and making the experience even more engaging. She also prepared us a delicious barbecue lamb, which added a special touch to the day. Thank you, Luca, for helping to make this trip so unforgettable, super recommended!

Personally, I'm not particularly fond of organized tours. In safe places like Australia, you can rent a car and set off on your own adventure. However, Kangaroo Island is an area of farmers, ranchers, and fishermen. It’s not primarily a tourist destination, and if you really want to see kangaroos and koalas, you need an experienced guide. We relied on "Kangaroo Island hire a Guide." Our guide, Luca, is an Italian who has lived here for decades and knows every aspect of this place. Luca took us to the right spots to observe everything this extraordinary island has to offer in its natural habitat. He also helped us understand what it means to live in such a beautiful and remote location. We spent the entire day in a comfortable 4x4. What was supposed to be a picnic lunch turned into a barbecue by the sea. We Italians also enjoyed our usual coffee break, prepared in the traditional way with a real moka pot. (Luca assured me that for non-Italian tours, he still offers delightful teatime.) Highly recommended! Personalmente, non amo particolarmente i tour organizzati. In luoghi sicuri come l’Australia, è possibile affittare un’auto e partire all’avventura. Tuttavia, Kangaroo Island è una terra di contadini, allevatori e pescatori. Non è un luogo prettamente turistico e, se desideri davvero vedere canguri e koala, hai bisogno di una guida esperta. Noi ci siamo affidati a "Hire a Guide". La nostra guida, Luca, è un italiano che vive qui da decenni e conosce ogni aspetto di questo posto. Luca ci ha condotti nei luoghi giusti per osservare in natura tutto ciò che questa straordinaria isola ha da offrire. Ci ha anche fatto comprendere cosa significhi vivere in un luogo così bello e remoto. Abbiamo trascorso l'intera giornata a bordo di un comodo 4x4. Quello che doveva essere un pranzo al sacco si è trasformato in una grigliata vicino al mare. Noi italiani abbiamo avuto anche la nostra consueta pausa caffè, preparata come da tradizione con una vera moka. (Luca mi ha assicurato che nei tour non italiani offre comunque invitanti teatime.) Consigliatissimo!

Nikki took us around Kangaroo Island and we were able to see and appreciate so much about it. She was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly cared about her home. I can’t recommend it enough.

Luca was very good and helpful, took us around the island all day, unique place, untouched nature and beautiful animals. Excellent cuisine.
