Great guided tour by bike. Carol’s connections with locals made it extra special. I’ve been to Santa Monica and Venice before but this tour showed me sights and gave me information I’ve never seen or heard of before. A great experience to learn more about the area up close.
Barb was kind, professional and had lots of interesting bits of Hollywood trivia as well as thoughtful insights. I was solo that day and she helped make the experience a perfect excursion.
Great experience that I would do again! Barb and Steph were amazing host and we had an amazing time touring Santa Monica and Venice on the electric bikes.

Highly recommend “Pedal or Not Electric Bike Tours“ tour of Santa Monica & Venice Beach. Our guide was deeply knowledgeable about the history of the area, very personable and engaging, and he definitely made this one of the highlights of our trip to LA. Also the cool ocean breezes blowing in off the beach are every so lovely. Definitely do this if your in the area!!!
We had never been on ebikes before and found it very easy. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The starting point is a little store on a side street with meter parking. There is a little riding on streets, especially through the venice canals. We were very lucky, nobody else signed up so our family had a private tour. Would definitely do it again.
Wonderful bike tour with Barbara! She is a Santa Monica local with lots of great knowledge and information. My Son and I had loads of fun and we highly recommend doing this tour.
Steph was a great tour hide. We enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend it to someone unfamiliar with this area.
I’m staying only a short time in Los Angeles/Santa Monica, and Barb’s e-bike tour was the perfect way to discover the main spots along the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. She brings the places to life with stories and anecdotes, using photos she carries with her during the tour. Barb is very attentive to what you like (or don’t like) and takes the time to photograph you at all the must-see locations. Thank you, Barb, for this special experience that will remain one of my favorite memories of Los Angeles.
