We got lucky and when we got picked up, it was just our family so we got a private tour. We didn’t negotiate that ahead of time. I think we just got lucky Alex our tour guide is native and local and absolutely loves Costa Rica and it shows! We went to a waterfall and then we got to check out the Celeste river where we had an amazing lunch overlooking the rainforest. We saw so many cool animals and birds, and then we ended it with a coffee and chocolate tour in the rainforest, it was a very fabulous day. We felt safe and it was really enjoyable. Spending the day with Alex who shared information about Costa Rica as we drove.

What a great day that we had with Alex, we were picked up at our hotel meeting spot. He was early. We had sort of a list of what we were going to do, but we weren’t sure exactly what order and It made for a really fun spontaneous day! We ended up going to a waterfall and exploring the area. We got to see howler monkeys and Alex was really interested in nature and highlighting different animals so as we were driving to our next destination, we were able to pull over and see a real three toe sloth in the wild. It was such a cool experience, then we proceeded onto the blue River, which is Celeste River in the rainforest. What a magical experience then we got to eat an authentic local Costa Rican lunch with a view of the rainforest canopy where we got to see birds flying around and trying delicious food, we ended in the rainforest with a coffee and chocolate tour, which was really interesting and tasty. If you have a full day and you wanna really dig in and see the real Costa Rica I highly recommend this tour. Alex was a really nice guy very patient and explained a lot of interesting details about Costa Roca and the culture along the way. Highly recommend.!

Alex was an absolutely outstanding tour guide! He took us to a breathtaking waterfall, guided us through the beautiful Costa Rican rainforest, and made the entire experience unforgettable. Even with the rain, he kept the tour fun, engaging, and full of fascinating information about the local wildlife, plants, and culture. What really made the day special was that Alex took us to an amazing local lunch spot that we never would have found on our own. My mom and I booked a private excursion with Alex, and it exceeded every expectation we had. This is the second time we have hired Alex. He was born and raised in Costa Rica. He knows all the secret spots to find animals! Don’t go to Costa Rica without hiring him. He is the best!
