It’s wonderful to not have to wait for the cable cars. It was great to get to go swimming. Great to see the little town. Beautiful place.
This is a small boat with the entire back area of the ship saved for smokers. The upstairs had limited seating so we were stuck with the front of the boat, where there was little shade and we had a lot of bow splash from the water. We moved to the back of the boat and were stuck with smokers the entire time. In addition, the STAFF frequently took smoke breaks and were on their phones most of the time. Very unprofessional - we've never been on a ship where the staff takes smoke breaks or is on the phone while the ship is operating.

On our tenders, smoking is strictly prohibited at all times, and there is no designated smoking area on board. In addition, our tender transfers are short and carefully managed by our crew. Great experience taking the ferry and busses to sight see instead of taking the cable car. The sites on the itinerary were great for the time time allotted, although we would've preferred more time for lunch and the beach. The tour guide, Victor, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire experience. The bus driver was also friendly and courteous, taking care for the group the whole way.
Zeus was the best tour guide and our driver Nikos navigated the small roads. I hope you get Zeus he was knowledgeable and funny!
Zeus was our tour guide and Nikos was our driver. Excellent tour and comfortable ride in a modern Mercedes Benz Sprinter minibus. Highly recommended. Learned a lot about Santorini history and Greek culture. Got some of the best scenic pictures I’ve ever taken anywhere in the world! Lovely! Do this tour!
Zeus, our guide, was very knowledgeable. Nikos, our driver, was a very safe driver. We had a wonderful time on this trip. It was a very comfortable ride in a small van. We had a few stops and saw so much of the island. I would highly recommend!
This comprehensive 5 to 6-hour tour took us COMPLETELY AROUND the perimeter of the island to see every thing! After taking a tender from the old port to the SW corner of Santorini, 20 of us boarded an air-conditioned, luxury Mercedes van with very large, clean windows, and drove up the switchback to the cities above. We made several excellent photo stops at Finikia, Megalochori, Oia, and 1.5 hours at the Perivolos Black Beach (DO take your towels, suits and/or a book). In Oia, we sampled local donuts and Italian gelato free, of charge. THEE photo spot (3 blue domes in one shot) is found on one of three, narrow walkways to the left of the “main drag”. (Cannot tell which one, but closer to the church than not.) You will have to stand in lines at all of them, and because MANY young ladies are vying for the perfect IG shot, it is VERY SLOW. We had to bail to make the van! Most restrooms are 1EU, (but one free one inside the large building at the beginning/ending point.) Our guide (do not recall her name) pointed out all-things relevant when in the van in a timely fashion. In Megalochori, she escorted us on a lovely, short walk thru the more residential setting, pointing out the vineyard process, the housing/plumbing construction, the smaller cafes’ and lovely blue accents against all that white! I loved the contrast of the “back” of the island… all of the volcanic rock, agriculture and business-side of Santorini is there at sea level. At the Black Beach, we loved our quiet time at Jojo’s “Macrame’" Beach Bar…nice, local starters menu, cold beer and the sun beds are shady and free! A tender returns you to back to the port at the end of the tour. Highly recommend!
