Rating for actual tour: 5/5. The tour itself was great and we had great (and warm) weather on Lake Skadar. The guide was professional and told us some interesting information about the lake and the surrounding areas. The food (a local fried dough recipe) and drinks (Montenegrin wine and juices) were great. There was also a bathroom on the boat, which was great for a 3 hour trip with drinks. We were also able to stop for pictures and a short swim at one point. Rating for arriving at Lake Skadar: 0/5. Please know that getting to/from Lake Skadar via public transport is an absolute nightmare. There are no direct bus/train lines to the meeting point: the nearest train station is about 1-2 km away and there is no pedestrian path. You must do one of the following: walk on the highway with no solder (illegal), on the train tracks (extremely dangerous), or do what we did and hire a taxi to drive you 1 minute for 5 Euros. The trains are almost always delayed and are super old. Once at Sutomore after the train, then you have to wait for a bus (also commonly delayed) to take you back. Overall, it took us almost 4 hours to return to Budva from Lake Skadar. If you are coming from Budva (like us) or other common vacation destinations (e.g. Bay of Kotor), you will need to take both a bus and a train to get to Lake Skadar. If you are coming via car, it seems like parking is extremely limited and many people could not find parking spaces. Overall, it seems like Kingfisher and other tour operators should create a way for people to travel to Lake Skadar more easily given the limited public transportation available. They should collaborate with a bus company to offer transfers from urban centers (e.g., Budva, Bay of Kotor) to Lake Skadar.

Had a really great trip with alex and stefan. They made sure we were well watered throughout, and explained our tour in great detail. Plus the added benefit of a quick swim stop to cool down from the heat.

Really nice boat with plenty of cover and shade - knowledgeable guide. Decent wine on board. A must do in Virpazar in fact arguably the best thing to do in Virpazar.

Nice trip, we weren’t that many people compared to the size of the boat. 4 hours were perfect. 2 swimming stops, the water was impressively warm. The guide was friendly and not in a professional, I have to be friendly and happy, but in a true, real way. We got wine, water and juice to drink, and we could get as many cups as wanted, as long as there were more. We also got some pastry and made a stop to get some plants up from the water, which we could taste. Very nice trip.

This was a fabulous experience! It was extremely relaxing and the guide answered all our questions. The local snacks provided were delicious! We loved the opportunities to swim. It was the perfect trip!

This was incredible value for money. We were in a group and had lots of wine and pastries with honey and the lake is simply beautiful.
