Marta was a wonderful guide for our day in Sintra and Quinta da Regaleira. She was professional and punctual from the start, and incredibly accommodating throughout the day, adjusting things easily to what we wanted to see and do. She's a great communicator and conversationalist — genuinely intelligent, easy to talk to, and happy to answer every question we threw at her. Her factual storytelling really stood out. She walked us through the symbolism at Quinta da Regaleira and brought the history of King Ferdinand II and Queen Maria II to life in a way that was easy to follow, almost like a story rather than a lecture. It helped us understand that behind all the beauty and color of Sintra, there was real hardship too — including the fact that Queen Maria died in childbirth. That context stuck with us and gave the whole visit a lot more depth. She's a good, careful driver, and we felt safe with her the entire day. She also made sure to build in time for us to browse and shop with local artisans, which was a really nice touch and not something every guide bothers to prioritize. Marta was a pleasure to spend the day with — knowledgeable, attentive, and easy to be around. We were fortunate to have her as our guide in Sintra!

Best tour guides ever! Very educational

This was our third vacation in Portugal and our second time going to Sintra. We brought our five year old this time around and thought he would like the castles. Turned out our son was having a hard time with some of the trips and we reached out to give a heads up. The company was very quick to respond and work with us. Lourenço was our guide and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and knew how to navigate to avoid the crowds. We started at Quinta da Regalaría which our son LOVED. The stairs and caves were really exciting for him and walking the property like a maze was very fun. Lourenço took us to a great spot for lunch overlooking the beach and made perfect suggestions for authentic Portuguese food. Our next stop was supposed to be Pena Palace, but our son was more interested in the beach. Lourenço was very accommodating and was able to find a beach in Cascais for us to go to. Overall, the trip was a huge success largely due to Lourenço's knowledge and flexibility.

My guide, Rodrigo was excellent. He was able to provide a fantastic tour and historical facts tailored exactly to my interests.

Our group of 16 went to Royal Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and Pena Palace. We let Picta guide us and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the beach and a stressless day visiting Sintra. Highly recommend our tour guides- Catarina and Diogo! They were amazing- so caring and knowledgeable! Go with Picta and ask for Catarina and Diogo!

Can’t say enough good things about the trip, the tour guide Luiz was absolutely incredible. So knowledge and friendly, instantly we had the best time, can’t recommend enough, but ask for Luiz!

Best day touring Sintra with Lourenco! He was so knowledgeable and resourceful. We went everywhere we wanted to go/saw everything we wanted to see. It was definitely worth the private tour with pick up and drop off at our hotel. We had a great day! Thank you Lourenco and Picta Travel!

The most amazing experience was had today by a group of ladies who are totally clueless as to what to do and then a wonderful lady came along and showed us incredible grace as we had so many so many questions and we’re taken to so many fascinating places. If I owned a company of my own, I would steal her from you immediately. I feel as though we all made an incredible friend, and I would love to welcome her in our home if she was ever to come to the United States. I’m sure you know what a valuable asset you have with Katarina… the way that she carries herself and represents your company and your brand is incredible. We were traveling with family and a 1 year old. We had to make last minute adjustments and our guide, Diogo, was just great in accommodating everything. He even notified us that something had been left in the vehicle and we made arrangements to pick it up. He went above and beyond, all with a smile.
