This trip is not to be missed. It was well organised by SIB. Our guide Emilia and driver Gustavos were really enthusiastic and passionate about this special UNESCO designated countryside. Driving through this gorgeous land was fascinating. Emilia and Gustavos pointed out all the wildlife they could find on our drive to the various sites. We saw Sea lions, Armadillo, Elephant seals, Guanacos,Rhea and a Gaucho plus Argentine Mocking birds, Turkey Vultures, oyster catchers ground nesting owls and much more. Emilia was informative on many aspects of the flora and fauna and also the geological formation of the land. I was concerned about our vegetarian boxed lunch but I was pleasantly surprised with the delicious lunch. I could not eat it all!

The trip mirrors the cruise ship offering, but at a much lower price. Long day, but lots of wildlife seen. The trip lasted nearly 8 hours, much of which is traveled on the comfortable bus, with the very knowledgeable guide providing commentary. There was never any problem getting back to the ship in time for the afternoon departure, as our trip was always about 15 minutes ahead of the similar trips provided by the cruise ship. Overall, I would recommend this trip as a way to experience a very different landscape and see some interesting wildlife.

We had a small group of 4 couples in a small van - perfect size! Our tour guide spoke English and Spanish fluently and provided lots of interesting information. The drive was long - but comfortable. The elephant seals and seal lions were observable from at sea level from the tops of ridges. The penguins were very close to us, and a small wire fence prevented humans walking in their areas. A tasty box lunch was included.

great tour, way better than the cruise ship tours. Very personal. our guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and bent over backwards to give us a "wow" experience. Great communication and would definitely recommend to other travelers. Thanks1

Our guide was great and the group was small as they told us. There was many penguins in the reserve, a unique experience!.

We went to the visitors' centre which was informative before traveling on to see the penguins and seals. On the way we were fortunate to see a maras, the funny little dog like hare only found in this part of the world. We also saw a little burrow owl sitting at the front of its home, an armadillo and guanacos which are like llamas or alpacas. The Valdes Peninsular is extremely different from anything we have seen before...sort of green runnels in the low tide almost like looking at a newly planted vineyard...with seals popping up here and there.
