We were really excited to do this but the sky was almost completely cloud covered. We didn’t see anything fascinating. The guide did his best and was extremely knowledgeable. We were told a group that was supposed to be with us cancelled last minute so it was just us. I wish I knew we could have cancelled once the clouds rolled in too! Even if we had a clear sky I don’t think for what was offered that the cost makes sense at all. Way over priced. Would not recommend.
Very enjoyable. Wes was very knowledgeable and seeing so many interesting things through the telescope was really entertaining
Amazing! These guys provided us with a wealth of knowledge about the constellations, galaxies, and space. They gave descriptions and explanations of what we were about to view, and high-powered telescopes that allowed us to see far into the heavens! We even got to see a shooting star! Truly worth it!
Such a great experience and so much knowledge by our guide! We truly enjoyed every minute of this experience.
Very knowledgable guides. Telescopes were in a field easily assessable. Don’t expect to see planets up close like a super telescope but do expect to have fun.
We had a great time. After our initial booking was canceled due to weather, we were able to reschedule for the following night. There were five telescopes set up and we got to see a ton of different things both inside and outside of the galaxy. Wes and Jeff were super knowledgeable and they were able to translate their knowledge into graspable language for us laypersons. I took my 12-year-old daughter and she loved it. I would highly recommend doing this.
Really nice experience. Try to go on a night where the moon phase is dim so you can see more--if you can. The astronomers are very patient with people about learning astrology/answering questions. It's a very wonderful experience. I would recommend tourists being polite with a low tone-of-voice so people can appreciate the nature/stars. This tour group was pretty respectful of that. I went for father's day with my dad, who is an engineer, and he really enjoyed it!

You will be looking through a telescope to see stars, the exact ones you can see yourself, just closer and clearer. We did see a fuzzy white halo and 2 stars where you could faintly see they were yellow and blue. And, it was cloudy and lightening and he wouldn't call it off. Apparently he ends with the moon but it was cloudy and you couldn't see it except right when time ended and I even said "there's the moon now" no response. Don't waste your time or money. Only reason for the second star in the review is the guy was extremely knowledgeable.
Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you found the presentation informative and that you felt the guide was knowledgeable. I do want to clarify a few points for future readers. Stargazing is very different from daytime sightseeing. Telescopes do not make stars appear dramatically larger; they allow you to see details, colors, double-star systems, star clusters, nebulae, planets, and other celestial objects that are not visible to the naked eye. Many of the objects we observe are hundreds or thousands of light-years away, so even through a large telescope they do not appear as giant images. Weather conditions are always a challenge in astronomy. We continuously monitor cloud cover and cancel tours when conditions are unsuitable. On partly cloudy nights, there are often significant breaks in the clouds that allow guests to observe a variety of celestial objects. If conditions become unacceptable, we provide refunds. I’m sorry the experience did not meet your expectations, but thousands of guests over the past 24 years have found the program educational, engaging, and memorable.
